The 21 st century belongs to the era of the information economy.The use of information has become a necessary skill for one's life,and it has gradually become an important factor of production,so that individuals,groups,and even countries have access to information.Attach great importance to it.As an important institution of knowledge production,colleges and universities have information hubs such as libraries.Therefore,college libraries rely on massive information resources and use rich information organization collection and organization tools to provide the possibility to create information talents that meet the requirements of the times..The United States and other developed countries have also carried out many theoretical innovations and practices in terms of the role of libraries and the role that libraries should play,providing a direction and theoretical guidance for further development of libraries.In the process of popularizing information knowledge in our country,the university library has been responsible for the education of users.Therefore,the user education of university libraries often has different connotations and education forms according to the development of the times.However,due to the late development of innovation in library theory and the weak innovation ability in our country,the actual work and practice of user education are also relatively backward.There is a weak consciousness of advancing with the times and students receiving passive education.A series of problems such as unsatisfactory and teachers' information quality can not keep up with the requirements of the times.The American library and information community's proposal of elemental literacy theory has quickly attracted the attention of various theoretical academic circles.It has retained the spiritual core of various literacy theories,and then introduced new literacy elements of critical thinking and interaction and coordination.The development of library user education provides a source of innovation and a driving force for development,and provides the possibility for college libraries to rely on elemental theory to build a user education model.This article first discusses the era background and significance of user education in college libraries under the background of element cultivation,compares the current situation of user education in domestic and foreign libraries,and elaborates thenecessity of constructing user education models based on element cultivation.By clarifying the core meaning,tasks,goals,and meanings of user education,a comparative analysis of the development relationship between various literacy and user education in the world today.Use the collected questionnaires to conduct an empirical analysis and explain the existing problems: such as the lack of cooperation leading to unfair resource allocation and the user education system is not innovative.Finally,according to the new requirements of elementary education for current user education,establish a user education model for colleges and universities: relying on the user education linkage platform composed of resources construction and service construction of various colleges and universities,provide strong teaching material support and tool use for implementing education methods,and then pass The entire "methodological layer" conducts "Metaliteracy" education for users to achieve multi-level interaction.Users and teachers can conduct "two-way evaluation" during the entire teaching process to improve teaching strategies in a timely manner.In this way,you can give full play to the role of element cultivation in the user education model,and achieve the purpose of cultivating "metacognition".Finally,I summarize my shortcomings and outlook on the future.
