Survey And Analysis On Elderly Reader Service Of Shanghai Central City Public Library

With the advent of an aging population,the number of elderly readers in public libraries is gradually increasing.Due to the inconvenience of the elderly readers themselves and the high demand for reading,the service quality of public library readers is higher.Older readers of the public library in Shanghai central city as the research object,through one by one to visit Shanghai city center 7 public library,questionnaires to older readers,understand older readers demand.The author visited the staff many times to understand the current situation of the library's elderly readers.At the same time,we also collected relevant materials from various library websites,and used the analysis methods of library science,statistics and case studies to study the elderly readers'service in Shanghai central urban public library.The public library has a large number of literature resources and professional librarians,who provide convenience for the aged readers.The author found through the analysis of the data and the literature influence of old Shanghai central city public library reader service factors are:ignore the older reader service work,barrier-free facilities need to be perfect,the lack of facilities and space for senior citizens,insufficient resources of library,library propaganda is weak,some older reader engagement is low,older readers'desire for information literacy education and ignore the old reader's interests.The author thinks that can from attaches great importance to the aged reader service work,improve the barrier-free facilities,increase the elderly activity space,to strengthen the construction of collection resources and establish the long-term effective mechanism of older reader service,to enhance the publicity on the library,fully tap the potential of older readers and improve the quality of the librarians of this a few older reader service level of ascension.
