Now,we have entered the information age,more and more things need to have standardized process,so does software development.Software as a carrier of information technology has penetrated many parts of our lives.As with the fast-developing information technology you might find software development is becoming more complicated.Its demand is also more powerful.In the process of software development,the scientific progress of project management is not only to ensure the project duration has a direct impact,but also to control the project cost.The subject of this paper is to improve the efficiency of software development project schedule management and solve the problems in software development project schedule management.Paying more attention to project schedule management plays a key in successful project.Facts have showed that about 70%of the software project is much different from it's expected,because of development time being extended and speed of development being slow.Based on the theory of project management,this paper focuses on the DR software development project,analyzes the status of DR software development project progress management,and puts forward the countermeasures and solutions to the existing problems.This paper starts with the theory of project management and project schedule management.First of all,the method of project management and the theory of schedule management are explained.Then,there's an introduction of the STAR-MES project of DR company.Based on the theory and practice of project schedule management,there are some analyses of the possible reasons for project extension in software development process.Identifying the key factors and the problems in the project,putting forward the improvement measures,suggestions in the aspects of project schedule planning,project plan monitoring and auxiliary management tools is also in this paper.I hope that the project plan can be improved and the schedule can be optimized by these ways.In the part of schedule planning,there are some introduction of the principles of work breakdown structure,planning review technique and critical path method.In the part of the implementation and monitors of the Earned Value Analyze Method,there are some introduces of the effect of Earned Value Analyze Method in project monitoring and execution.These methods have contributed to The STAR-MES project.
