With China enters the era of universal reading,the word "Reading Promotion" is not only a topic of national discussion,but also a hot topic of experts and scholars in the field of library.There are many factors that influence the effectiveness of reading promotion activities,such as the theoretical basis of reading promotion activities,the mode of reading promotion activities,the implementers of reading promotion activities,and the evaluation mechanism of reading promotion activities.Reading promoters,mainly composed of staff of the university librarians,as the executor of reading promotion activities,are the key factors that affect the effectiveness of reading promotion activities.This paper choose the group as the research object,has both theoretical and practical significance.This research mainly includes the following chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,mainly introducing the research background,purpose and significance of this article,as well as the related research review and research ideas,methods.In the second chapter,it illustrates the relevant theoretical basis of reading promotion and reading and promoting librarians in colleges and universities.The third chapter is the core part of this article.Through the questionnaire survey,we can understand the present situation of the ability of university librarians in reading and promoting librarians,and summarize and analyze the factors that have significant influence on the ability level.In the fourth chapter,we put forward the corresponding strategy of ability improvement.In the fifth chapter,by summing up the conclusion of the research and point out the deficiency of the research.The conclusions of this study include:First,the number of librarians engaged in reading and promoting work in colleges and universities is far more than that of men.The age is mainly distributed among 31-40 years of age.Academic background is concentrated in undergraduate and postgraduate students is only 40%of them and participate in the promotion of reading more than three years,the department evenly distributed in the editing,circulation,information and other departments involved in the promotion of reading librarians,nearly seventy percent of them very much love this job,and the related the concept of a certain understanding;Second,the promotion of reading ability of Librarians in the overall high level,but the promotion of reading ability of librarians basic social communication and promotional writing the ability level in the middle of one,there is room for improvement;and the data processing capacity of lacking,need further improvement;Third,the number of years involved in the promotion of reading,the degree of love for reading promotion work and the degree of awareness of the work of these three aspects have a significant impact on reading ability to promote,with the participation of reading promotion of working years increase,the degree of love and deepening awareness,reading push the ability of librarians overall upward trend.
