Objective In order to know the prevalence of acne among college students in Ningxia, the possible factors were analyzed. To investigate the influence of acne on the quality of life and psychology of patients,in order to provide clues for the etiological study of acne and provide scientific basis for better and more comprehensive prevention and treatment of acne. Methods From December 2018 to March 2019,college students from Ningxia medical university were selected and stratified cluster sampling was adopted.Students from grade one to grade three were stratified by grade.10 classes were selected from each grade, totaling 30 classes.A total of 1300 respondents were selected. The survey includes the basic information of students, the prevalence of acne, the factors that may affect acne, the influence of acne on students' quality of life and psychology. The original data collected was imported into Excel database, and spss22.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Results1.A total of 1271 points were collected in this study,including1252 points in the effective questionnaire,629 acne patients,623 non acne patients, and the total prevalence of acne was 50.2%.The incidence rate of male was 58.9%,and the incidence rate of female students was 45%.The incidence rate of different sexes was statistically significant.2.There are significant statistical differences in the prevalence of acne among different grades. The number of acne patients in the first grade is 244(56.4% of the total number of the grade survey),the number of acne patients in the second grade is 213(51.8%),and the number of acne patients in the third grade is 172(42.2%).3.There is statistical significance in the prevalence of acne in different age groups. The highest prevalence of acne is 56.2% in17-19 years old.The prevalence of acne gradually decreases with the increase of age.The prevalence of acne in 20-22 years old college students is 47.8%,and the lowest is 23-25 years old,46.2%.4.The age of first onset of acne was 15.86 ± 2.144,the average age of male onset was 15.84 ± 2.174,and the average age of female onset was 15.86 ± 2.123.Variance test of mean of two samples F =0.012,P > 0.05,and there was no significant difference between male and female in age of onset.5.The skin lesions of acne patients mainly occur in the face, the incidence rate of cheeks is the highest, accounting for 66.45% of acne patients, followed by forehead 57.71%,and the incidence of chest and back accounts for 39.42% of the total, except for the rest of the face and chest and back, which account for 9.53% of acne patients.6.Among the acne patients, the number of patients with I ° acne is the most, accounting for 61.37% of the total number, followed by27.19% with II ° acne,7.15% with IV ° acne, and 4.29% with III °acne.7.There were significant differences between acne patients and non acne patients in body mass index, eating habits(like spicy food, greasy food, sweet food),living habits(sleeping time, average daily water consumption, use of skin care products, sun protection, etc.)(P < 0.05).The BMI of acne patients was significantly higher than that of non acne patients; The number of acne patients with positive family history(genetic factors)was more than that of non acne patients; The number of acne patients who liked spicy food, sweet food and greasy food was significantly higher than that of non acne patients, while the daily water consumption was significantly lower than that of non acne patients; The number of people who often use cosmetics in acne patients accounts for a higher proportion, while the proportion of people who use moisturizing, oil control and sunscreen skin care products is lower; The proportion of sleeping time after 24:00 was significantly higher than that of non acne patients; The proportion of oily andmixed skin types in acne patients was significantly higher than that of non acne patients.8.The results of logistic regression analysis showed that falling asleep time, eating greasy food, using cosmetics, family history of acne, oily and mixed skin were risk factors of acne.Moisturizing skin care products and oil control skin care products were all protective factors of acne.9.Different types of skin lesions have different effects on patients.262 people(41.7%)think acne has the greatest influence,75 people(11.9%)think papule has the greatest influence,133 people(21.1%)think pustule has the greatest influence, and 159 people(25.3%)think cyst, nodule, sunken scar, inflammatory erythema and inflammatory chromatosis have the greatest influence.10.Most of the acne patients(64.5%)thought that the aggravation of acne had nothing to do with seasons,18.4% thought that acne would aggravate in summer,6.8% thought that it was related to winter,5.7% thought that it was related to spring and 4.5% thought that it was related to autumn.11.78.1% of acne patients thought that acne had an impact on the quality of life,of which 69.7% thought that acne had an impact on appearance and 62.7% thought that acne had an impact on mood.In terms of psychology, there are statistical differences in depression between acne patients and non patients.Acne patients are more likely to have depression than non acne patients, and the more serious acne, the more serious depression.12.The majority of acne patients choose to treat themselves or go to the hospital, and the proportion of self treatment is the largest(43.4%).On the choice of treatment,63.6% chose topical medication,24.5% chose oral medication,38.2% chose mask therapy,15.3% chose acne removal, and 8.3% chose red blue light treatment.19.7% of the patients were satisfied with the treatment,38% were not very satisfied with the treatment, and 42.3% were dissatisfied with the treatment.Conclusion1.The prevalence of acne in Ningxia Medical University was higher. The prevalence of gender difference was statistically significant. The prevalence rate of male was higher than that of female. The incidence rate of different age groups was different, the prevalence rate was highest at 17-19 years old,and the prevalence rate gradually decreased after 20 years old.The prevalence rate in different grades is also different. The prevalence rate in grade one is the highest, followed by that in grade two,and the lowest in grade three. It may be related to the increase of grade and age,or it may be related to the inadaptability of freshmen to the environment and excessive psychological pressure when they just enter university.2.Acne is a chronic disease caused by many factors, which may be related to eating habits(spicy, sweet, greasy),skin type, positive family history, menstruation, sleep, daily average water consumption and skin care product use.3.The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that greasy food, daily drinking water, frequent use of cosmetics, oily and mixed skin, family history were the risk factors of acne.Use moisturizing skin care products and oil control skin care products as protection factors.4.Most patients think that acne, pustules and papules have the greatest impact on themselves, which may be due to the mild acne patients accont for majority in this survey.5.Acne has a certain impact on the quality of life and psychology of patients.6.Most patients are not satisfied with the effect of treatment.
