The Current Situation Of The Elderly Care Facilities In Henan Province

ObjectiveBased on the data collection of the elderly care facilities of the medical and nursing combination pilot institutions in Henan Province,to understand the current situation of the elderly care facilities of the medical and nursing combination pilot institutions in Henan Province,and to obtain comprehensive facilities information.According to the survey results,the elderly care facilities of the medical and nursing combination pilot institutions in Henan Province are analyzed from the five dimensions of environmental facilities,living facilities,medical and health facilities,safety facilities,and entertainment facilities This paper analyzes and evaluates the current situation of the elderly care facilities in the pilot institutions,finds out the existing problems in the elderly care facilities,and puts forward suggestions to solve these problems,so as to provide a basis for the development of the elderly care facilities in the institutions.MethodsIn this study,literature analysis and expert consultation were used to design a questionnaire about the basic situation and facilities of the pilot organization of medical and nursing integration.Through the method of questionnaire survey,the questionnaire was collected from 201 medical and nursing pilot institutions.The investigation content includes the basic information and facility information of the organization.Epidata3.1 software was used to build the database,spss21.0 software was used to process the complete data.The main methods used are descriptive analysis,F test and Chi square test.ResultsIn this survey,201 pilot institutions were investigated,including 89 medical institutions(44.28%);33 medical institutions(16.42%);70 joint institutions(34.83%);and 9 community home-based institutions(4.47%).Analysis of the results of the investigation on the facilities of the pilot institutions of the combination of medical and nursing(1)In terms of environmental facilities,the total average floor area of the pilot institutions in Henan Province is 15643.97m2,including 8750.92m2 for medical function,6304.50m2 for pension function,9913.46m2 for medical function,6066.59m2 for medical function and 3788.41m2 for pension function.According to(2)the analysis of significance test,different types of medical and nursing institutions have statistical significance on the area of institutions.In terms of the whole peripheral facilities in Henan Province,the allocation rate of bus stops is the highest(79.60%),while that of large general hospitals is the lowest(44.78%).(3)In terms of living facilities,the overall configuration level is good.In different types of living facilities,the number of medical institutions is the largest(45.40%).and the number of community-based institutions is the smallest(5.45%).In different nature,the number of government run institutions is the largest(47.90%),and the number of public and private institutions is the smallest(10.71%).In terms of care facilities,the number of medical institutions was the largest(44.94%)and the number of community-based institutions was the smallest(4.71%).In different nature,the number of government run institutions is the largest(46.35%),and the number of public and private institutions is the smallest(10.35%).In terms of cleaning facilities,the number of medical institutions was the largest(43.97%)and the number of community-based institutions was the smallest(4.77%).In different nature,the number of social organizations is the most(44.53%),and the number of public and private organizations is the least(11.79%).(3)In terms of medical and health care facilities,the average number of beds is 273.96,the average number of beds in combination with medical care is 84.86,the average number of beds in medical care is 118.27,and the average number of beds in elderly care is 70.84.Among regions,the total number of beds in class II region is the least;among types,the number of community-based beds is the least.And all types of institutions have the least number of elderly beds.In terms of medical departments,the number of internal medicine was the most(14.52%)and the number of nutrition department was the least(4.52%).The number of medical institutions is the most,and the number of community-based institutions is the least.In terms of medical functional areas,treatment rooms accounted for the most(12.13%)and dressing rooms for the least(9.82%).In terms of medical facilities,the number of thermometers is the most,and the number of functional wheelchairs is the least.In different types,the number of medical care type is the most(45.78%),the number of community-based type is the least(4.19%);in different natures,the number of government-run institutions is the most(49.61%),and the number of public and private institutions is the least(10.08%).In terms of medical equipment,among different types,the number of medical maintenance type is the most(50.50%),thenumber of community home type is the least(3.31%);among different types,the number of government-run institutions is the most(53.23%),and the number of public and private institutions is the least(8.03%).In terms of other medical equipment,among different types,the number of other medical equipment in nursing and community home-based institutions is lower than the total average.Among different natures,only the other medical equipment of public and private organizations is lower than the total average.(4)In terms of safety facilities,in terms of daily safety facilities,the number of guardrails on both sides of the bed is the largest,and the number of emergency call buttons in toilets and bathrooms is the smallest.Among different types,the number of medical care type is the most(48,13%),the number of community-based type is the least(4.04%);among different types,the proportion of government-owned institutions is the highest(47.44%),and the proportion of public and private institutions is the lowest(9.99%).In terms of emergency safety facilities,the number of fire extinguishers is the largest,accounting for 21.18%of the total;117 low pull lights,accounting for 12.51%of the total.Among the types,the number of medical care type is the most,and the number of community home type is the least.In different nature,the number of emergency safety facilities in social organizations is the largest,and the number of public and private organizations is the smallest.(5)In entertainment facilities,indoor entertainment facilities are better than outdoor ones.In terms of indoor entertainment facilities,TV,audio and other multimedia accounted for the most(20.96%),and the number of educational and manual equipment was the least(10.54%).In terms of outdoor entertainment facilities,among different types,the number of medical care type is the most(44.55%),the number of community-based type is the least(3.87%);among different types,the number of social organizations is the most(45.52%),and the number of public and private organizations is the least(11.14%).Conclusions(1)There are differences in the current situation of the elderly care facilities in different regions,different types and different natures of the pilot institutions of the combination of medical care and nursing,and they are not balanced in terms of quantity and configuration.(2)Different types of pilot institutions have more significant differences in the configuration of facilities.In terms of the overall facilities,the medical support type pension institutions are superior to the other three types of institutions.(4)Among the five types of elderly care facilities,entertainment facilities are the best,while medical and health facilities are relatively lacking.
