Canine pancreatitis is a systemic inflammatory response disease.Pancreas secrets digestive enzyme under pathological conditions and damages itself;this causes a systemic inflammatory reaction.Mild pancreatitis is normally curable. If a mild pancreatitis missed curative time,it would develop into a chronic pancreatitis.Chronic pancreatitis is difficult to diagnose and causes high death rate.Canine pancreatitis is similar to the clinical features of gastrointestinal diseases, hepatitis and other diseases, and there are no specific detection methods for typical symptoms. Thus, there are challenges in rapid diagnosis of pancreatisis. The cases of canine pancreatisis collected from the animal hospital of Shijiazhuang Epidemic Control Center were screened by inclusion and exclusion criteria. We screened 37 cases of canine pancreatitis cases and performed the retrospective investigation and analysis on them.Statistical analyzed ill dogs food intake state, species distribution, age distribution, clinical symptom, laboratory indexes, the effect treatment and so on.This study made statistical analysis on basic information of the confirmed canine pancreatitis cases: among the three different feeding ways, the dogs fed with both human and dog food accounted for 49%(18/37),the group fed with sole human food accounted for 35%(13/37),the group merely fed with dog food accounted for 16%(6/37).From the analysis of dogs from different ranges of ages we found that: 5 to 8 years old dogs had an incidence of43%(16/37),dogs less than 2 years old had an incidence of 11%(4/37),the incidence of 2 to5 years old dogs was 27%(10/37),and the incidence of more than 8 years old dogs was 20%(7/37).According to the statistics of the pancreatitis distribution among dog breeds, the poddle has the highest incidence rate, which was 43%(16/37).There was no significantly different incidence of pancreatitis between the sex.Statistics of different symptoms showed that dogs suffered from pancreatitis occurred mental depression, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dehydration and other symptoms without exception.According to the statistics of physiological indicators, the white blood cells of 78.38%(29/37)dogs elevated, the serum amylase of 65.1%(24/37)dogs and the lipase of 57.05%(21/37)dogs increased. In this study,we divided 37 dogs of pancreatitis into routine treatment group(group A)and octreotide treatment group(group B),respectively numbered. Two groups of differenttreatment plans were determined, and the specific analysis was carried out by combining the detection of biochemical indicators after 5 d treatment with clinical symptoms and curative effect determination.Excel 2016 was used for data arrangement,Graphpad Prism and SPSS19.0 were used for statistical analysis the significance level: P = 0.05.The research results were shown as follows: the cure rate of group A was 41.18%,the cure rate of group B was75%,and the difference between group A and B was significant(P = 0.037);The treatment duration of the conventional treatment group(group A)and the octreotide treatment group(group B)was 10.80±3.26 d and 8.53±2.95 d respectively. The difference between the two groups was significant(P = 0.045).In conclusion, the dog fed with both human and dog food had the highest incidence rate of pancreatitis. The pancreatitis cases were mainly the 5 to 8 years old dogs, and the main breeding suffered from pancreatitis was mainly the poodle. All the dogs showed mental depression, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dehydration and other symptoms.White blood cells, serum amylase and lipase were all elevated in dogs. The therapeutic results showed that the total cure rate and treatment time of dog pancreatitis in octreotide treatment group were better than that in conventional treatment group, and the difference between them was significant(P < 0.05).
