Canine pancreatitis is caused by the exocrine part of the canine pancreas under the stimulation of pathological condition. The exocrine digestive enzyme damages the pancreas and causes the pancreatic oedema, hemorrhage and necrosis. It is one of thedigestivesystemdiseaseswithexocrineinflammationofthe pancreas.Clinically, there are a series of syndromes such as abdmoinal pain, vomiting and diarrhea, but no specific clinical symptoms. If it is not treated in time, the canine will go into shock or die.Common causes of canine pancreatitis include overeating, eatinghighfatfoods, overweight, poisoningandlocal anemia, infection, obstruction of the pancreatic duct, biliary tract diseases and so on which are caused by external injury or operation.Canine pancreatitis can be divided into acute pancreatitis and chronic pancreatitis. This paper collectes the dogs with canine pancreatitis etiology, eating habits, diseasehistory, clinicalsymptoms, laboratoryexamination, imaging examination, treament and so on and carries on the statistcal analysis and comparison. In order to provide a better understanding of the causes, clinical symptoms and methods of diagnosis and treatment of canine pancreatitis, the experience of these cases are summarized. The research objects collected in this paper are 33 cases of canines with pancreatitis which were diagnosed by the Kang Le animal hospitol of Lan Zhou from September 2016 to March 2018.Through analyzing and counting the life history, the symptoms, the loboratory examination results, the X ray examination and B ultrasonic examination and the prognosis of the sick canine in 33 cases,it was found that 27 cases(27/33,81.8%)were fed with high fat food, animal viscera and human food for a long time,3 cases(3/33,9.1%)were secondary canine pancreatitis of canine parvovinus infection and 1 case(1/33,3.0%)had canine pancreatitis after a car accident. There are 17 cases Teddy(17/33,51.5%),4cases Bichon Frise(4/33,12.1%),1 cases Bulldog(1/33,3.0%),3 cases Golden Retriever(3/33,9.10%),one case of Shetland sheepdogs(1/33,3.0%),1 case Siberian Husky(1/33,3.0%),1 casemalinois(1/33,3.0%),1 case Papillon(1/33,3.0%),2 cases Chinese Rural dogs(2/33,6.1%)and 1 case Chihuahua(1/33,3.0%)in 33 cases.30cases sick canine(30/33,90.9%)are overweight.33 cases sick canines(33/33,100%)are tested postive feo SNAP cPL.The AMY is high out of the normal value in the 27cases sick canines(27/33,81.8%).LIP in 33 cases(33/33,100%)is all higher than the normal value,CRP in 29 cases(29/33,87.9%)is higher than the normal value.WBC in 23 cases(23/30,69.7%)is higher than the normal value. The NE in 25(25/33,75.8%)cases is higher than the normal value. The RBC is higher than the normal value in 3cases(3/33,9.1%)and lower than the normal value in 8 cases(8/33,24.2%).18cases(18/33,54.5%)had symptoms of dehydration,33 cases(33/33,100%)had symptoms of abdominal pain,32 cases(32/33,97.0%)had symptoms of vomiting,5cases(5/33,54.5%)had symptoms of diarrhea.Blood gas analysis was made in 23cases:GLUwas higher than the normal value in 16 cases(16/23,69.6%)and lower than the normal value in 3 cases(3/23,13.0%);17 cases(17/23,73.9%)had hypokalemia and 4 cases(4/23,17.4%)had hyperkalemia.Blood pH was lower than the normal value in 20 cases(20/33,87.0%)and normal in 3 cases(3/23,13.0%);28cases of sick canines(28/33,84.8%)had multisystem and multiple organ failure, and the body temperature of most of them is lower than the normal value.23cases(23/30,76.7%)had cured,7 cases(7/30,23.3%)sick canines'masters had give up treatment and demand euthanized because of their condition deteriorating after treated 1 to 2 days,3 masters(3/33,9.1%)didn't accept treatment. There are 22 cases malecanine(22/33,69.7%),11casesfemalecanine(11/33,33.3%).23cases canines(23/33,69.7%)are 3-9 years old,6 cases canines(6/33,18.2%)are under 3years old and 4 cases canines(4/33,12.1%)are over 9 years old.X ray examination and B ultrasonic examination can observe the different changes in the pancreas and surrounding tissues, and it can exclude the diseases of intestinal foreign bodies similar to those of canine pancreatitis. The treatment of canine pancreatitis was treated by influsion supportive treatment, symptomatic treatment, etiological treatment, taking orally pancreatin preparation and feeding prescription low-fat digestible food at later stage.Through the statistical analysis, the canines who had been fed high fat diet for a long time, were overweight or 3 to 9 years old when canine were prone to suffer from canine pancreatitis.Once the clinical manifestation of canine is vomiting and continuous stomachache, through differential diagnosis, eliminate infectious disease and intestinal tract foreign bodies,it can consider to canine pancreatitis. The diagnosis was carried out through the laboratory SNAP~@cPL~TMM diagnosis, combined with the serum biochemical AMY and LIP results.Canine pancreatitis usually accompanies by multiple system and multiple organ failure. Therefore,in the treatment of canine pancreatitis,it's also necessary to treat other concurrent or secondary diseases. After the cure it can be used to feed low fat and digestible prescription food, which can prevent the recurrence of canine pancreatitis.
