Canine Pancreatitis is a kind of inflammation caused by the active trypsin injuring their own digestion organs. There are two kinds of pancreatic, including sub-acute and chronic. Acute pancreatitis(AP) can be divided into acute edematous pancreatitis and acute necrotizing pancreatitis, clinical common is edema. Overeating is one of the common causes of acute pancreatitis in clinical, in addition to drugs, toxins, pancreatic duct obstruction, duodenal contents reflux or other diseases may lead to acute pancreatitis.This paper selected 86 cases of dogs suffering from pancreatitis in Xi’an Jing He Animal Hospital as the objects. In this study, we analyze and compare the clinical symptoms, laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other aspects, then we summarize the disease-related factors, conventional induction canine pancreatitis symptoms, and diagnostic and therapeutic methods, to provide reference for clinical treatment.(1)Disease dog may suffer from performance anorexia, vomiting, abdominal pain, depression, jaundice, and other symptoms, but not every symptom will show.(2)The laboratory tests and imaging studies of the cases showed that dogs suffering from pancreatitis, 70.9% of the dogs has increased white blood cell count, 53.5% of the dog has white blood cell left shift, 55.8% dogs occur red blood cell pressure rise, 53.3% dogs the number of platelets reduced, 55.8% dogs have glutamic-pyruvic transaminase rise, 59.3% dogs’ alkaline phosphatase rise, 48.8% dogs’ urea nitrogen rise, 40.7% dogs’ Creatinine rise. In addition, the result of SNAP? cPL?(canine pancreas-specific lipase test) is positive.(3)Imaging diagnostic is significant to severe pancreatic, B-ultrasound exhibits high specificity but poor sensitivity to canine pancreatitis diagnostic.Canine pancreatitis is a common pet disease occur in different species, ages, and sex of the dogs, especially in small purebred dogs. The clinical symptoms of canine pancreatitis are nonspecific, always occurs liver and kidney function damage.The main clinical treatment is medical treatment. The basic principles of treatment are correct risk factors, early fasting, correct body fluids, maintaining acid-base balance and electrolyte balance, analgesic antiemetic, anti-inflammatory, and inhibition of pancreatic secretion. But in some severe cases, feeding tube can be considered to placement. In addition, there are Chinese medicine and surgical therapy.There are diverse clinical manifestations of this disease, but no special clinical manifestations, so any clinical manifestations should be considered in the diagnosis in order to comprehensive analysis and timely treatment.
