Canine pancreatitis is one of the most common internal diseases in pet clinic. The disease is an inflammation of the pancreatic caused by the digestive enzymes in the exocrine part of the pancreas, which damaged the digestive pancreas and caused pancreatic edema, hemorrhage and necrosis.Usually it is aseptic inflammation.Clinically, the sick dogs often have depression, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea and other clinical symptoms,if it is not diagnosed and treated in time, the serious consequences is shock or death.Common causes of pancreatitis in dogs include overeating, eating fatty foods, overweight, poisoning, trauma or surgery leading to ischemia, infection, pancreatic duct obstruction, biliary tract disease, etc. At present, the diagnosis of canine pancreatitis in veterinary clinic should be made by combining clinical symptoms with laboratory examinations and imaging examinations.Based on the statistical analysis and comparison of the pathogenesis, clinical symptoms, laboratory examination, imaging examination and treatment plan, this paper aims to explore the pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of pancreatitis in dogs,so as to provide help for the effective prevention and treatment of this disease. This paper collected the pancreatitis cases admitted in aijia pet hospital of zhangjiagang city, jiangsu province in the past two years, and selected 30 cases for analysis and summary.Small sized dogs accounted for the majority of the 30 cases, with poodles accounting for 46.67%(14/30),the highest proportion. There were 20 male dogs(66.67%,20/30)and 10 female dogs(33.33%,10/30).In terms of clinical symptoms, there were 29 cases of vomiting(29/30),18 cases of abdominal pain(60%(18/30),4 cases of "praying" posture(13.33%(4/30),and 21 cases of diarrhea(70%(21/30).Simple pancreatitis 7 cases accounted for 23.33%(7/30),parvovirus infection 4 cases was 13.33%(4/30),secondary pancreatitis endometritis complicated with pancreatitis in 1 case(3.33%)(1/30),gastrointestinal foreign bodies complicated with pancreatitis in 1 case(3.33%)(1/30),8 cases of pancreatitis complicated with liver damage 26.67%(8/30),16 cases of pancreatitis complicated with renal injury was 53.33%(16/30).In laboratory examination, blood routine analysis showed that most of the affected dogs had obvious inflammatory reaction and obvious dehydration symptoms.Twenty cases(20/30,66.67%)had higher WBC than normal value.A small number of dogs with anemia symptoms.C-reactive protein was detected in some affected dogs, and c-reactive protein indexes were all elevated.Blood biochemical examination results showed that most cases had increased amylase(20/24,83.33%),among which 16 cases had higher amylase detection value than the maximum value detected by the machine(2200U/L).Blood glucose increased in 2 cases(2/24,8.33%),renal function increased in 16 cases(16/24,66.67%),and liver function increased in 8 cases(8/24,33.3%).The SNAP(?)cPLTM rapid detection of canine pancreatitis are all positive.Imaging examination revealed ground-glass images of the anterior abdominal pancreas on X-ray in some cases.Among the 30 cases,19 cases insisted on treatment,5 cases of death accounted for 26.31%(5/19),14 cases of rehabilitation accounted for 73.68%(14/19).In all the cases treated in this study, targeted treatment including rehydration, antiemetics, analgesia, antibacterial therapy, octreotide and ulinastatin,as well as nutritional support therapy were adopted, and good therapeutic effects were achieved. Most of the cases(14/19,73.68%)recovered completely.
