Research On The Application Of BIM Technology In The Life Cycle Of A EPC Project

With the continuous competition of the construction industry,if enterprises want to continue to survive,they must constantly seek new development models,adopt new technologies and advanced management models.In recent years,BIM technology and EPC management model have developed rapidly,and the construction industry is also constantly transforming and upgrading.The core of BIM technology is a database composed of three-dimensional computer models that runs through all stages of the entire life cycle of the project.However,it is often applied decentrally in each independent stage,making BIM technology unable to give full play to its advantages,while the EPC management mode provides a carrier for BIM technology,and BIM technology provides a means for EPC management mode.The two complement each other and achieve better Information management of the life cycle.The research and application of BIM technology in EPC management mode are relatively few.Based on the actual project,this paper studies the application of BIM technology in the entire life cycle of EPC projects,compares and analyzes the application of each stage,and draws the application advantages of BIM technology in the entire life cycle of EPC projects.Use BIM technology to manage the EPC project,and start to consider it at the design stage.Develop corresponding BIM standards for the implementation of BIM technology in the design phase of the EPC project.Use BIM technology to select a collaborative platform suitable for the project.By establishing working set permissions Collaborative design with the central file,reduce collision error rate and improve design quality through collision check and clear height analysis;transfer the BIM model information in the design phase to the downstream,and the construction party will convert the BIM model in the design phase into a BIM model in the construction phase Apply it,use the BIM-3D model for visual drawing review,engineering quantity extraction,and technical analysis of complex nodes.Through the use of BIM-4D,BIM-5D,and BIM-n D,assist the construction party in construction management;in the operation and maintenance stage,Put forward the application point of BIM technology in this project,so as to realize the seamless transfer of information in the life cycle of EPC project by using BIM technology.
