Water resources are an important basic resource for development of human society,With the rapid development of social and economic,the acceleration of industrialization and urbanization,the demand for water resources in various industries is constantly increasing.However,the total amount of water resources is limited.The shortage of water resources has gradually become an important factor restricting the development of the national economy in the region one.At the same time,the rapid population growth,unequal distribution of water resources in time and space,unreasonable development and utilization of water resources,waste of water resources and pollution of water environment will aggravate the situation of water shortage.Zhoukou City,as an agricultural city in Henan Province,has a large population,relatively backward of economic development,extremely low per capita water resources,more water pollutant discharge industries,more serious water pollution,and some rivers in the bitter-water season,More sewage outfalls,water pollution in rivers is serious.The majority of farmland irrigation is in the form of large-scale flood irrigation.The rate of water-saving irrigation is extremely low and the waste of agricultural water is serious,The water resources in Zhoukou City are facing a very serious situation.How to correctly handle the relationship of sustainable development between water resources and population,economic development and environment is the current research hot spots.Based on the current situation of development and utilization of water resources in Zhoukou City,this paper selects 19 evaluation indexes and constructs a comprehensive evaluation model of water resources carrying capacity based on principal component analysis.Using normalized formula and entropy method,the data normalization method of principal component analysis And weight calculation method were improved,and a comprehensive evaluation model of water resources carrying capacity based on the improved principal component analysis method was formed.The carrying capacity of water resources in Zhoukou City during 2011-2015 was evaluated and analyzed,and the evaluation results from the two evaluation models were compared and analyzed.Based on the analysis of the water resources carrying capacity of Zhoukou City,combined with the state of natural resources in Zhoukou City,economic development,water resources status,policies,systems,and culture,effective measures to enhance water resources carrying capacity in Zhoukou City were proposed.
