As a water-deficient city,Pingxiang City has a per capita GDP of 55,600 yuan in 2017 and an urbanization rate of 68.21%,which is higher than the average of45,000 yuan and 54.60% in Jiangxi Province. It ranks fourth in 11 administrative regions of Jiangxi Province. However,it does not match the development of the city. Its per capita water resources is 2,477 m3,which is the second lowest in Jiangxi Province. It has a large gap with the average per capita water resources of Jiangxi Province with an average of 3,581 m3.Therefore,Pingxiang City will inevitably face urbanization.Problems such as shortage of water resources, insufficient water resources carrying capacity, and insufficient allocation of water resources. At present, most water resources allocation work often takes large areas such as large river basins, urban agglomerations, and provinces as research objects, and such small-scale research work on some water-deficient cities is less, making water resources allocation results less targeted. As a water-deficient city in the Fengshui province,Pingxiang City is typical. This paper takes Pingxiang City as the research area, analyzes the changes in water use and water use caused by the urbanization process, and uses SPSS software to make a reasonable evaluation of the water resources carrying capacity of the research area in the past ten years to evaluate the results. For the basic metrics, use appropriate statistical analysis methods to make medium-and long-term predictions of their future water demand, and then use the classification weight method to optimize their water resources allocation based on their socio-economic development characteristics.According to the analysis and calculation of this paper, the urbanization of Pingxiang City has transformed the three-yield structure from the second, third and third with large water demand and low output efficiency to two, three and one.The water structure and indicators are also optimized, and the water resources carrying capacity is increasing year by year.Improve, but the future medium and long-term water demand forecast results are very close to the three red line control indicators.Itis necessary to further optimize the industrial structure according to its development characteristics,to achieve the city by water, and to optimize the allocation of water resources on the basis of respecting the status quo.
