Xi'an is the star,ting p.oint of the Belt and Road,and it's also an international tourist city.In recent years,Xi'an's society,economy,culture and other aspects have developed rapidly.As a necessary factor for development,Water resources are threatening the survival of the city's industries and people's daily life.Therefore,it is necessary to evaluate the regional water resources carrying capacity and take effective measures in time to deal with the issues of water shortages and water security.This paper reviews the studying methods of water resources carrying capacity and advances of water resources in Xi'an,and analyzes the overall development of Xi'an,especially on water resources.Under the same index system,the principal component analysis method,fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and set pair analysis method were used to evaluate and analyze the water resources carrying capacity of Xi'an from 2008 to 2016,and the results were compared and analyzed to make the conclusions more accurate.The main results are as follows:(1)Firstly,26 indicators are selected from the water resources subsystem,economic subsystem,social subsystem and ecological environment subsystem.Delete 7 indicators that have less impact on the evaluation by principal component analysis,and the Analytic Hierarchy Process is adopted to establish the indicator system of water resources carrying capacity(2)Using the principal component analysis to analyze the trend of water resources carrying capacity objectively over the years,it is found that the water resources carrying capacity of Xi'an has shown a downward trend from 2008 to 2016,and it drop faster from 2008 to 2011 than that after 2011.Six main indicators affecting the carrying capacity of local water resources carrying capacity are obtained:urbanization rate,GDP per capita,water consumption of 10,000 yuan output value,water consumption rate of resident,the utilization ratio of water resources and water consumption rate of industries.(3)The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method combinate the quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis.Though this method,it is concluded that the water resources carrying capacity of Xi'an from 2008 to 2016 is generally the basic loadable level.The carrying capacity of ecological environment subsystem and economic subsystem is good,and the bearing level is on the rise.The bearing status of the social subsystem is poor,indicating that the water resources have insufficient support for the development of the social subsystem.(4)Though the set pair analysis method,we obtain the bearing level of each subsystem,and compares it with the results calculated by the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model,the consistency is 98%,which indicates that the results of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation are accurate and reliable.
