Children's reading promotion plays an important role in the national reading activities.In addition to the achievements of children's reading promotion activities,there is still a lack of comprehensive evaluation and reflection on the effects of reading promotion activities and the performance of personnel.Related researches are mainly focused on librarians and their core abilities,and the research is also relatively broad.There is a lack of specific and comprehensive research on librarians' abilities of children's reading promotion,and even fewer studies on librarians of reading promotion from the perspective of role cognition.Therefore,this paper takes the librarians of children's reading promotion as the research object,starts from the perspective of role cognition,and conducts the research on the abilities of librarians around the role norms and role evaluation in the role theory,which can clearly analyze the required abilities and future development direction for libraries and librarians.In this paper,based on the role of cognitive theory,with role specification and character evaluation is given priority to combined with the American library association-children library association of librarians' ability,on the basis of literature analysis and practice involved in,using the Delphi method to build children's reading promoting the librarians' ability evaluation index system,as the specification of librarians' roles,the power system includes seven primary index and 32 secondary indicators,indicators including self-role cognition and understanding of the participants,providing resources and service ability,activity execution ability,public relations ability,management and planning ability and professional growth,as well as technical ability.Based on expert investigation ability evaluation index for empirical research for librarians,the evaluation of the participants to the librarians' ability,found that the ability of the librarians of children reading promotion overall performance is: the self-role cognition level and high levels of capacity development balanced,is relatively lack of ability of public relations ability and the management and planning ability.Among them,the ability to guide children to use reading resources,to co-organize activities with other organizations or institutions,and to respect the background and individual rights of the participants were more outstanding than those of the same levels.The form of the promotion activity is in line with the actual situation of the participants.In the end,the paper puts forward some suggestions from the perspectives of library as an organization and management institution and librarians themselves.From the perspective of librarians,they should attach importance to improving their ability to complete activities independently and communicate with participants to obtain role evaluation.
