A Research In News Reports Of Chinese Doctor-patient Conflicts Under The Perspective Of Solutions Journalism

In China,doctor-patient conflicts become more and more serious.Doctor-patient relationship is a highly discussed social problem which concerns lots of people.The conflicts between doctors and patients has been broaden among doctors,patients and media.Solutions journalism aims to solve social problem and provide ideas of solutions,not just describe the social problems.Solutions journalism practices a lot in America,also solved series of social problems via news report.This study will bring a new report method,through combination of solutions journalism practice and Chinese doctor-patient conflicts reports.This study bases on the solutions journalism practice medel,use case study method to show the deviation between Chinese solutions reports and America solutions journalism,introduce the possible content model for Chinese doctor-patient conflicts reports.There are three research questions in this study:1.what's the application of solutions journalism in doctor-patient conflicts;2.what's the differences between solutions journalism abroad and inside China;3.how to apply solutions journalism in news reports of doctor-patient conflicts in China and what's the possible pattern.This study takes 3 samples of stories,which includes 382 news reports on doctor-patient conflicts in Chinese newspapers,use content analyze to show the status of solutions journalism in doctor-patient reporting.This study will campare domestic solutions journalism and foreign solutions journalism to show the differences.Comparison between news reports for solutions purpose and problem purpose will be made,which aims to explain that solutions journalism has a tendency to solve problems and teach us how to solve the problems.This study combines the key points and toolkits of solutions journalism with the practice of solutions journalism in China and overseas.Moreover,this study promotes a pattern like “4W1H”,which simplify for“what's the conflicts,what's the reasons,what's the solutions,how to operate,what's the effect”.
