The Chinese New Medical Reform significantly enhanced the country's medical supply capability and improved people's healthcare experience.Nevertheless, there are certain concerns about the doctor-patient conflicts. In influencing the doctor-patient relationship, news report is special and important due to its recognition and interpretation of such conflicts. With methods of content analysis, this thesis analyzed specific news reports between 2011 and 2019 from People's Daily and Southern Metropolis Daily, targeting at exploring the news framework and attitudes towards domestic doctor-patient conflicts after the New Medical Reform. For the two newspaper institutes, this thesis identified a dynamically balanced situation between doctor and patient's discursive power in related news reports. In addition,a positive reverse was achieved in terms of the news attitudes after the New Medical Reform. At first, news based on the conflicting relationship frames were weakened while more talked about the harmonious relationship. This change is beneficial in reducing people's risk perception of doctor-patient relationship, which demonstrates the social responsibility awareness from the media groups.Secondly, the negative illustration even demonization of the doctor role was transformed to a more positive position. Finally,an overall uptrend was discovered for the neutral and positive interpretations of the doctor-patient relationship.Meanwhile, there are still shortcomings of the doctor-patient reports for the two newspaper institutes.Solution framework of the doctor-patient dispute was neglected by the two institutes. That framework could highlight the urgency to solve the disputes and set benchmarks for people to deal with such conflicts.Furthermore, most reports on the two newspapers were in the form of newsletters with singular resource.Usually such reports were not diversified enough to interpret the medical reform policies and doctor-patient dispute solutions. The long-page article cannot satisfy target readers. In addition to similarities, reports from the two newspapers have individualized features. As a market-leading newspaper, reports of Southern Metropolis Daily indicated a people-based framework which focused on grassroots. In evaluating the topic value, the newspaper was more event-driven and tended to attribute the conflict to both doctor and patient sides. They often described the vulnerable side as a dilemma participant. On the other hand,People's Daily extended more authorities in discussing the doctor-patient relationship and held neutral positions in such discussions. They tended to attribute the conflict to inappropriate policies and focused on governance process in analyzing the vulnerable sides. In effect,People's Daily stood on the position of government supervision, which manifested its news management and public education responsibility as an official media.
