With the popularization of mobile internet and mobile devices, mobile reading has gradually become a new way of reading, the carrier of reading content changes from traditional paper books into mobile reading applications(APP),which is the development direction of the reading in the future. The earliest mobile reader APPs in China is iReader and Kaijuan Youyi, which were born about eight years ago.Statistics show that the user's scale of current mobile reading APP is growing slowly,it can be said that mobile reading is maturing, and gradually entered into steady period.Mobile reading APP is not just a sample media copy of traditional paper book.Instead of that,APP constantly combines the characteristics of new carriers, then derives new functions. The interface of existing mobile reading APPs are diverse. The functions of APPs are complex. Some of them can promote reading, but some may disturb the user to get information. Can the existing reading functions satisfy readers'reading needs? What features make users satisfied? What features do actually users rarely use? What features can also be optimized? What do potential function requirements need to be met? This paper tries to get the function classification and prioritization of mobile reading APPs by analyzing and researching.First of all,the study takes use of literature research method and user interviews, aiming to comb out the three main purposes for using mobile reading APPs and function requirements of users who use these kinds of APPs.Secondly, selecting 20 mobile reading APPs which have the highest coverage in current market to try to extract the user needs to meet the users' function. The number of them are 30.Then inviting users to use the Card-Sorting to classify function points, according to the user's mental model-30 functional points are divided into 6 categories. After each class is named, there can be 6 one-level indicators,30 two-level indicators.Forthly, combining the KANO model theory to evaluate the priority level of 6 function categories and 30 specific function points.According to the indicators, compiling the KANO model questionnaire from the pros and cons of two aspects of the users' attitude to mobile reading APPs function point. When removing the invalid questionnaire, there are 287 samples. The results are verified through the reliability and validity of the test. Finally, dealing with the data. There are two ways to analyse and evaluate the function. One is using the traditional method of KANO model and the other is modified Better-Worse coefficient method. The priority of mobile reading APPs function requirements are judged, and the function priority for three different purposes is also compared and analysed.Based on the classification of function and the evaluation of the priority of function requirements, this paper finally discusses from five aspects:?The impact of user's social needs on the demand priority of mobile reading APPs' function;?The effect of user's reading aim on the demand priority of mobile reading APPs' function;?The adaptive function design of mobile reading APPs;?Mobile reading APPs should pay attention to the privacy protection of users;?Mobile reading APPs can provide some appropriate functions of reading welfare. It is hoped that through research and analysis, this paper can provide references for the development and optimization of mobile reading APPs function, and also hope that the research method of Internet users can be introduced into digital publishing products, constantly enriching the research theory of digital publishing.
