A Study Of Service Promotion For Children In Dongguan Public Library

Libraries have played an important role in the public cultural service system. In recent years, children services in a public library were received more and more attention in China. Since 2010, with the development of the cities, the independent Children Library has been set up around the country. Dongguan library has always attached great importance to children service, in the beginning of the new museum opened in 2005 on the establishment of a children's world and comic library, while the application will be the original premises renovation for the children branch of Dongguan library, after various efforts, in 2011 October 25, children 's branch try opening to public, relying on the branch network, for the public to create "smart circulation, resource sharing" convenient, diverse and rich reading life.In this paper, through literature research and other research methods, how to further enhance the Dongguan library services for children. This paper summarize the problems from the aspects of core elements, through the comparative analysis of Guangdong Province and other libraries in Mainland China, and find out the gap, and the reasons for discussion. The author thinks that to enhance the fundamental strategy of Dongguan library services for children is transformation of the service concept, and in many ways put forward specific suggestions, hope to the government and managers in the formulation of relevant policies to provide enlightenment and reference and for other local public library services for children improve to provide reference.It contains six main parts in this paper: the first part is the introduction, this part briefly introduces the background, research methods and significance of this paper, and the innovation and research status at home and abroad; the second part is the theory related to the promotion of library services for children, this part introduces the concept of library services for children, and improve service application of the theory; the third part is the analysis of the status quo of Dongguan city public library services for children, this part contains the overview of domestic library services for children, and the type of content, comparison and analysis of the current situation in Dongguan and the library service for children; the fourth and fifth part is the analysis of the problems and reasons of Dongguan Library Children's services, summarizes the core elements children's services include five aspects of library collections, librarians, activities, equipment, services, in this box Off the shelf, the five aspects of the analysis, and according to the related theory to analyze the reasons; the sixth part is the strategy and suggestion to increase the Dongguan City Public Library Services for children, according to the problems and reasons correspondingly put forward relevant strategies to improve; the last part is a conclusion, the conclusion of the full text are summarized, and a brief analysis of the research problems and the future direction of development.
