In recent years,under the influence of digitization,the rates of children's digital resource in contact and digital reading have continued to increase.Attention has paid to the social guidance of children's digital reading.As the main non-profit services of children's reading,how to meet the demand of digital reading and carry out the promotion of children's digital reading scientifically become the new tasks to the public libraries.American public libraries have always been attracted in the promotion of children's reading,hence in the aspect of the promotion of children's digital reading,they have many useful experiences and practices for us to explore and use.Based on the deep research about the promotion of children's digital reading between China and US,we can guide our children in digital reading more scientifically.First,this thesis uses the method of web-based survey to investigate the present situation of the promotion of children's digital reading.Second,based on the result of this survey,the author analyzes the differences of the development of children's digital resources and the children's digital reading promotion activities in China and America.The author points out that comparing to China,the collections of children's digital recourses in American public libraries are abundant in quantity and various in quality.They also focus on the development of children's digital resources.Meanwhile,the promotion activities of children's digital reading in American public libraries have four characteristics;they are holding daily,high using of online channel,comprehensive in content and focusing on the effect of digital reading equipments.In the last,the author reaches several conclusions.Government should strengthen the support of children's digital reading promotion.Resource providers should have a benign cooperation mechanism with libraries.Meanwhile,libraries should give full play to their advantages and optimize the strategy of children's digital reading promotion,while parents can become the guidance of children's digital reading.
