With domestic economic development, the coming of foreign-funded banks, and burgeoning of local banks and private banks, state-owned commercial banks feel more and more competition pressure in the market economy. Thus, while innovating banking products and improving service quality, it’s also an indispensable approach to regulate performance management and remuneration stimulus plan to enhance market competitiveness. At the same time, resorting to performance management data analysis to pinpoint the blind points of businesses and products of commercial banks, adjusting managerial thought and marketing direction, optimizing cost expenditure and profit structure are also hot issues for reform of state-owned commercial banks. Therefore, integrating examination standard and performance data in one management system, organizing different roles and functional departments in the performance management, managing uniformly and working out data report are of very important use and actual significance for obviously enhancing performance management and remuneration management level of commercial banks and at the same time reducing management cost.This thesis started from the performance examination problems existing in banking management. Firstly, it narrated the significance of performance examination in the business development of Bank of Communications, and made analysis and summary of the research status quo and value of currently commonly used performance examination system. Secondly, it analyzed the technical route of performance examination system design, selected the suitable technology, and designed a performance examination management system fit for Gansu Branch, Bank of Communications. Thirdly, at the system analysis stage, it delimited the system from the design principle, made a feasibility analysis of the system from the three aspects of economy, technology and operativeness, analyzed the user activities and examples in the system, described the data results needed by the system, and analyzed the data relationship and dynamic data flows in detail. Finally, the thesis tried to discuss the development and realization of core function modules of the system, having realized such function modules as data extraction, data access entity design, mapping relation, data filling, data examination, affiliation adjustment, employee management, basic data maintenance, and report display. Through the testing of the design example, it carried out functional and non-functional testing of the system. The function module outputs conformed to design objective and performance requirement and interacted very well, and it has been accepted and put into use at present.The development of this system offered a powerful data support to management decision and remuneration reform of Gansu Branch, Bank of Communications, promoted the competitiveness of Gansu Branch of Bank of Communications at every hierarchy, provided a solid technical support to the realization of the development goal, achieved ideal profit, and conducted a beneficial exploration for the design and development practice of the performance examination system of commercial banks. |
