With the rapid development of Chinese economy,competition between commercial banks has become increasingly fierce.Under the background of increasingly fierce market competition, customer manager system of domestic commercial banks has matured gradually in marketization.The division of labour of department is refined and clear,in which account managers are the main participants at front market.And their work performance will directly determine success or failure of commercial banks in competition.So commercial banks must set up a comprehensive and scientific performance evaluations system.And the system will guide and motivate customer managers to make their best towards strategic development of banks.From the current domestic situation of view,the banks have established their own distinctive performance appraisal system.These systems are playing a role in motivating employees and promoting business development and so on,but also exposes a lot of questions.For example,most bank’s performance appraisal system only focus on financial indicators or pay more attention on financial indicators.But with the bank’s multi-faceted development and increasingly extensive product line as well as division of labour of department being refined and clear,financial indicators can not cover the diversity of the assessing job. While the short-term behavior-oriented of banks restrains bank’s ability of creating more value in the future,and can not adapt to long-term strategic development objectives of commercial banks.This paper,firstly, by analyzing commercial bank’s performance evaluations and development tendency at home and abroad, demonstrates that carrying on performance evaluations by using the Balanced Scorecard is necessary and feasible.Then a branch of a commercial bank,for example,studying various roles of work gravity and career development of banks of customer managers,product managers and management departments background,as well as the current situation of various roles in performance appraisal systems.In view of the existing problems,commercial banks proposes the establishment of performance appraisal system based on the Balanced Scorecard,gives guidance and suggestions for the distribution of various indicators of different Balanced Scorecard,and makes important needs analysis and detailed design on the basis of standard software engineering system.Finally.they codes according to the done documents and fulfill main function modules of the system.They take continuous improvement and optimization in the practical application to meet management needs of commercial Bank performance appraisal,and do some optimization according to actual needs of user.Finally this article gives relevant safeguards and recommendations on account of carrying on performance appraisal system of the Balanced Scorecard.Through this performance appraisal system,a branch of commercial banks can comprehensively and scientifically evaluate performance of various roles from different angles in bank system from the financial,customer,internal business processes,product lines, strategic objectives.staff career development and planning.They establish management practices and evaluation mechanisms with scientificity and feasibility on the basis of the system establishment,thus in favor of raising working enthusiasm of company personnel.The core competitiveness of the banks can be promoted as a result of raising efficiency.
