Objective:To investigate the status and influencing factors of the structural empowerment and psychological empowerment and work engagement among nurses in cancer hospitals.and explore the relationship between the three, Aimed at the status of mental health of nurses self adjustment to provide theoretical reference, In order to improve nurses' work engagement and provide a theoretical reference and practical significance. Methods:From November 2014 to February 2015 using stratified cluster sampling to select 450 clinical nurses of three cancer hospital in Henan province, The Research tools include:(1)Nursing general information questionnaire;(2)Condition of Work Effectiveness Questionnaire;(3)Psychological Empowerment Scale;(4)work engagement Scale.Using Epidata3.1 to establish a data base, SPSS15.0 statistical package for data analysis, using general descriptive statistics, two independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, LSD test to evaluate the clinical nurse's structural empowerment, Psychological empowerment and work engagement of statue.Using Pearson correlation to explore the correlation between them and multiple linear stepwise regression were used to know the impact of structural empowerment, Psychological empowerment to nurse's work engagement. Results:1. The total score of nurses' Work Effectiveness Questionnaire was(17.94±3.47) points, six dimensions whose score from high to low were:Resource power(3.14±0.75)points, opportunity power(3.10±0.73)points, support power(3.09±0.76)points,informal power(3.08±0.73)points, formal power(2.97±0.74) points, information power( 2.57±0.84)points. There was statistically difference of nurses' structural empowerment in terms of monthly income,position,shift,and type of hospital(P<0.01); There was statistically difference of nurses' 0pportunity, information, resource dimension score in terms of ages(P<0.05); There was statistically difference of nurses' 0pportunity, Support dimension score in terms of education(P<0.05).2. The total score of nurses' psychological empowerment was(14.51±1.91)points,four dimensions whose score from high to low were: self-efficacy(3.94±0.56) points, job significance(3.80±0.65) points, Autonomy(3.72±0.68) points, and job impact(3.05±0.75) points. There was statistically difference of nurses' psychological empowerment in terms of ages, departments, position, shift(P<0.05). There was statistically difference of nurses' work autonomy dimension score in terms of working years(P<0.05).3. The total score of nurses' work engagement was(10.88±1.51) points, three dimensions whose score from high to low were: absorption(3.78±0.55) points, dedication(3.66±0.63) points, vigor(3.44±0.60) points. There was statistically difference of nurses' work engagement in terms of ages, working years, departments(P<0.05).4. Nurses' structural empowerment and psychological empowerment and work engagement were positively related mutual(P<0.01), Structural empowerment and psychological empowerment has a positive predictive effect on the level of work engagement of nurses in cancer hospital; The indirect effect of psychological empowerment is positively predicted by structural empowerment. Conclusion:1. Nurses' structural empowerment score in cancer hospitals was at low level, which was still much room for improvement; The main influencing factors were age, nursing age, educational background, monthly income, clinical teaching and job types.2. Nurses' psychological empowerment score in cancer hospitals was at middle and higher level, which was still much room for improvement; In which age, nursing age, whether the clinical teaching, departments and job types are the main influence factors of psychological empowerment of nurses in cancer hospital.3. Nurses' work engagement score in cancer hospitals was at middle and higher level, which was supposed to be improved; Among them, age, nursing age and departments are the main factors influencing the job involvement of nurses in cancer hospital.4. Structural empowerment and psychological empowerment can positively predict the level of work engagement of nurses in cancer hospital, and psychological empowerment plays an intermediary role between structural empowerment and work engagement.
