ObjectivesTo clarify the status of nursing psychological empowerment,psychological contract and job involvement in3Grade A hospitals in Jilin city,Jilin province.To explore the influence factors and their relationships of psychological empowerment,psychological contract and job involvement in clinical nurses in3Grade A hospital s in Jilin city, Jilin province.MethodsThe research is Non-experimental research.379clinical nurses from3Grade A hospitals participated in the questionnaire survey in Jilin province.Research instruments were composed of general demographic data,Psychological Empowerment Scale,Psychological Contract Questionnaire and Job Involvement Questionnaire (JIQ).The data collected was analyzed by SPSS17.0.Results(1)The total score of clinical nurses’psychological empowerment was43.26±6.88.The scores of different age s,different marital status,different job titles, different positions,different departments and different job purposes of clinical nurses showed statistically significant difference (P<0.05,P<0.01)(2)The total score of clinical nurses’psychological contract was138.88±20.436.The scores of all dimensions of hospital obligations were less than the scores of all dimensions of nurse obligations.The score of hospital realistic obligation dimension was the lowest,it was3.20±0.86, and the score of nurse’s realistic obligation dimension was the highest,it was4.38±0.59.The scores of different ages,different educational background,different marital status, different job titles,different positions,different length of service,different departments,different assignment ways and different job purposes of clinical nurses showed statistically significant difference (P<0.05,P<0.01)(3)The total score of clinical nurses’ job involvement was33.96±6.748.It showed that statistically significant difference between different positions and different job purposes of clinical nurses(P<0.01)(4) The relationship among nurses’psychological empowerment,psychological contract and job involvement was significantly positive correlation (P<0.01)(5) Work meaning dimension,work effect dimension of psychological empowerment and developmental obligationsm dimension of hospital of psychological contract could significantly and positively predict job involvement.ConclusionsClinical nurses’ psychological empowerment,psychological contract and job involvement were in the middle level.The relationship among nurses’ psychological empowerment,psychological contract and job involvement was significantly positive correlation (P<0.01). Work meaning dimension, work effect dimension of psychological empowerment and developmental obligationsm dimension of hospital of psychological contract were the important factors which could affect nursing job involvement,especially for work meaning dimension.
