Reading is very important for each of us, it is through the activities of our lives. By reading we can get all kinds of knowledge, obtain the complicated information. Reading is a very important way that we contact with the outside world. In recent years, the state vigorously promote "national reading activities", "the national children’s reading years" activities. Among them, "the national children’s reading years" activities have been hold sucsessfully between 2009 to 2015.Thus, country attaches great importance to the whole people’s reading problems especially teenagers. Library is the most important main part, promote reading under the country and the whole society’s attention.In recent years, public libraries across the country are held in various forms of reading promotion activities. The children’s reading part of the promotion activity is very important.This article is divided into seven parts. The first part is introduction, mainly elaborated the background and significance of this study, the research both at home and abroad, research methods and innovations. The second part is the introduction to the theory of children’s reading, expounds the concept of the children to read, children’s reading and the significance of the problems existing in the children’s reading. The third part mainly discusses the relationship between library and promote children’s reading, is described in detail the public library plays important role in promoting children’s reading. In addition, in the promotion of public library’s advantage of children’s reading the author have done the necessary instructions, finally the author on the current library children reading promotion types are classified in this paper. The fourth part is the public libraries in hefei children reading promotion activities. First of all, the author briefly describes the general situation of children reading promotion activities; Secondly, to survey the effect of reading promotion activities. This section was conducted by the form of questionnaire survey. To participate in the activities of the children and didn’t participate in activities, respectively, "children’s reading level questionnaire", to understand their reading level and compared respectively, and try to found the difference by comparing. On the basis of the existing information again, analysis the results of the survey; According to the results of the questionnaire survey to determine the effect of the activity. Finally, summarize the experiences of public libraries in hefei area promotion activity. The fifth part expounds public libraries in hefei problems of children reading promotion activities. These questions are based on the results of the survey analysis. The sixth part is to solve the problems of children reading promotion activities of public libraries in hefei area and puts forward the countermeasures. The last part is conclusion and prospect of part of the article, pointed out the deficiency of the article, and puts forward certain to raise the level of nationwide reading outlook. The author hope that through this study, provides some references for the later researchers. At the same time, in order to speed up the improvement of the public library of children reading promotion activities to provide some suggestions.
