In order to implement the relevant provisions of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Public Cultural Services and the Law of the People's Republic of China on Public Libraries,and to speed up the construction goals of "Reading for all" and "Hefei with elegant books".In recent years,Hefei municipal government has successively built a batch of urban reading spaces to serve the grassroots as public welfare cultural places and promulgated the "Implementation Plan for Hefei Urban Reading Space Construction",which puts forward specific requirements for the construction and operation of urban reading spaces.With the strong support of the government,Hefei has initially built the first batch of urban reading spaces and has formed certain social influence.However,in the process of practice,especially in the reading promotion activities of urban reading spaces,some problems that need to be solved urgently have been found.This paper takes the 25 urban reading spaces that Hefei has already started to operate as the research object,and investigates the current situation of urban reading space construction and activities.From the perspective of operators,individuals and readers,and combined with the content,quantity,theme and content of the activities,this paper analyzes the problems arising from the reading promotion activities in Hefei's urban reading space,and then lists the corresponding development countermeasures for the problems.This article is mainly divided into seven parts:Part one is an introduction of the paper.In this part,the background and significance of the selected research topic is expounded at the beginning,following which,the concept of urban reading space and the history and development status of the promotion on reading are discussed.After that,the research approach and methods adopted in this paper are determined,and the innovative points of this study are put forward.Finally,questions are formulated to make a frame for the research contents of this paper.Part two defines the concept of reading promotion activities in urban reading space,including the definition,category,characteristics and functions of urban reading space as well as the main elements such as the main body,service objects,objectives,service contents,service mode of reading promotion activities.Finally in this part,by exploring the relevant process of reading promotion activities in urban reading space,the relationship between the elements is elaborated,which lays a foundation for the development of reading promotion activities in urban reading space in the following parts.Part three firstly introduces the development status of urban reading space in Hefei city through investigation.Next,according to the survey results,it points out the current development situation,the equipment and operation situation of urban reading spaces in Hefei,and makes detailed description of all the reading spaces,including the site selection,area,operators,number of readers,etc.,which are described in detail with specific data.And next is the case analysis of the development of reading promotion activities in Hefei's reading spaces.Starting from the significance of reading promotion activities,the author took eight representative urban reading spaces as objects for the research.By visiting these reading spaces and experiencing the various reading activities organized,the author designed questionnaires for interviewing the management personnel in the aspects such as activity promotion mode,activity frequency,theme,contents and category.In addition,survey questionnaires were issued to investigate the readers of urban reading space by combining online and offline methods,and the results of interviews and questionnaires were timely sorted out.Part four is to find out the relevant problems of reading promotion activities in urban reading space of Hefei city through the summary of the field visits in the above cases,such as problems in publicity and promotion,problems in the contents and form of activities,problems in the evaluation of operation effect,and problems in the survey of reader satisfaction,etc.The fifth part provides countermeasures to the problems.These countermeasures should not only focus on the above problems,but also attach great importance to the sustainable development in the future.There is no doubt that the researcher can also learn from the successful experience of reading promotion activities abroad and find the strategies suitable for the construction of urban reading space,a new type of carrier for reading promotion activities.The last part is the conclusion of this article,which summarizes the content of the whole article,.
