The Research Of Public Library Reading Promotion In Hefei Area Of Anhui Province

Reading is human life’s work, is a source of human wisdom, is to promote the important and main means of national literacy. Advocacy of national reading to be written in the government work report illustrates the importance of reading and promote the urgency of reading. With the development of the library, the national reading awareness has been promoted, and the reading promotion has become one of the core business of the library, which has been paid more and more attention. Along with the rapid development of science and information technology, library service achieve more in the opportunities and challenges. Reading promotion as an important part of the library service function, has also experienced many changes. As the main force in the library, the public library reading promotion work has important significance.China’s reading promotion work carried out more slowly, compared with foreign countries. There is a great improvement and development of space which need to redouble their efforts to learn. The provincial and municipal public library reading promotion work is not considerable. In this paper, the author through field investigation, research network, telephone consultation and so on many kinds of ways, researched the Anhui Province library, Hefei city library, Hefei children’s library, community library which is representative of the public library, showed the status of Public Library reading promotion in Hefei. This paper mainly through the library staff and readers of the questionnaire survey, analyzed the survey results and found the gap. After analyzing the data, it is found that there are some achievements in the reading promotion of Public Library in Hefei, but there are many problems. For example, provincial and municipal libraries are actively carrying out reading promotion activities, but the form of a single, lack of research; community library reading promotion work lack of professional talent, such as guidance and participation.Through the study of other public libraries to carry out reading promotion of successful cases, study the methods and experience. This paper puts forward some development suggestions from two angles of Public Library and reading groups of Anhui Province reading promotion.
