Investigation And Analysis Of The Digital Reading Service Of The Public Libraries In Anhui Province

With the development of the Internet and mobile device terminals,more and more readers have begun to use digital devices to start their reading journey.The 17 th "National Reading Survey Report" shows that more than half of adult citizens prefer digital reading methods,while the proportion of readers who prefer traditional reading methods has declined.Digital reading has become the development direction of the future reading mode,and libraries need to improve reading services in accordance with the changing trend of national reading methods.During the 2020 epidemic,due to the closure of library venues and the stagnation of paper resources and physical venue services,public libraries have turned to online functions.Digital reading and online reading activities have become the main ways for libraries to carry out reader services.Time digital reading is fully developed.This paper investigates the basic situation of digital reading resources,supporting facilities,network platform services and promotion activities of 17 public libraries in Anhui Province to understand the current digital reading service level of public libraries in Anhui Province,and analyzes the digital reading service level of libraries in the province.The deficiencies in reading services,combined with the service methods found in the survey that are worth learning,and the experience of domestic libraries with more advanced services,provide suggestions for the Anhui Provincial Public Library to develop digital reading services.The thesis mainly includes the following six parts: The first chapter is the introduction,including the research background and research significance of this article,a review of domestic and foreign research on digital reading in public libraries,as well as the research methods,research ideas and innovations of this article.Based on this research,the writing of thesis is carried out.The second chapter differentiates and analyzes the concepts of digital reading and public library digital reading service.Based on previous scholars' research on digital reading,the content,and characteristics of digital reading services in public libraries under the current environment are discussed.The third chapter is about survey design.In this part,a detailed explanation of the purpose of this article,the object of the investigation,the method of the investigation and the content of the investigation are carried out to prepare for the next investigation.The fourth chapter is the presentation of the survey results.Using methods such as network investigation method,field investigation method and telephone consultation,the four aspects of Anhui Provincial Public Library's digital reading resource foundation,infrastructure,service platform,and promotion activities are investigated.and the results are summarized,analyzed,and described.The fifth chapter analyzes the problems of Anhui Provincial Public Library in terms of digital reading services based on the survey results.Mainly: the number of digital reading resources varies greatly,and the resource types are not rich enough;there are gaps in the construction of supporting facilities in various libraries,and there are obstacles to the improvement of facilities;the utilization rate of service platforms is not high,and service items need to be improved;digital reading promotion mode is single and lacks innovation Features.The sixth chapter puts forward suggestions for improvement based on the problems found in the previous part.Public libraries can improve digital reading services in the following ways: promote the sharing of digital reading resources and attach importance to self-construction of resources;improve the construction of digital reading supporting facilities and carry out equipment circulation services;make full use of the network service platform to build a reading resource integration platform;innovative digital reading Promotion model,effective digital reading promotion.
