An Analysis Of The Problems And Countermeasures On School Library Management

Libraries of primary and secondary schools are the most convenient book information data centers for the teachers and students, which provide literature about political thought education,and science and culture education to the students,guide the students to read,and train the students to use of information and the ability of lifelong learning. At the same time, libraries promote all-round development of students and teachers’ education and teaching research in schools. School library management is a basic method to ensure the tasks of primary and secondary schools to carry out. This research takes S school for as a case, using the following methods, such as the literature methods, questionnaire survey methods and interviews methods,which is an in-depth investigation and study illumination that reflects the current situation and existing problems of school library management. On this basis,the study analyses the reasons behind these problems, and puts forward some measures and suggestions to improve the school library management, so as to provide reference for schools’ library management in the similar situation.First of all, the study starts from the present situation investigation and analysis of S middle school library management, which surveys the current main problems of the school library management for several aspects: hardware and software resources construction are lag relatively; the library system management is not standard; the librarians’ service is not in place; the library utilization is low and so on.Secondly, the study finds out the influence factors of the existed problems from the school library management problems: school library’s software and hardware resources construction were short of funds, used unreasonably; managers’ library consciousness were lack of; library human management was not paid much attention to;library service evaluation was imperfect and rules were set unreasonably etc.Finally, according to the characteristics of the school library management, the author puts forward some suggestions: Firstly,paying great attention to the library resources constructionof software and hardware,and meeting the needs of students.Secondly, strengthening the consciousness of library managers and paying attention to the library management.Thirdly,strengthening library human management.Last but not the least,setting up management rules reasonably and improving the library evaluation mechanism.
