With the development of information technology and changes of business models, online shopping, an indispensable part in daily life, is transforming people’s life style. Electronic commerce and their user’s demand for interfere design is improving with increasingly fierce competition among e-commerce. The development of e-commerce provides visual communication design with a broader space and visual communication design itself becomes an essential part in the process of e-commerce marketing. In online shopping, the effect of the human’s visual factor accounts for over 85 percent. The visual process in web design plays the role as sales guider in supermarket. Guiding users to carry on online shopping more smoothly and pleasant with clear visual process design is the fundamental purpose of visual merchandising, as well as the essence of visual web design. The thesis chooses e-commerce sites as research subject, layout design in graphic design and visual principles in ergonomic as theoretical basis, combined with a visual web design project for an online flagship store named kakawood, exploring the application of visual process in e-commerce interface design.
