With the great development of information technology and the Internet,traditional publishing companies have to make the transition, which setting off a wave of large-scale development of digital publishing. Under the great publishing transformation circumstances, education publishing industries which occupy an important status in Chinese modern publishing industries, must explore the way of transformation actively. Education publishing industries need to break the traditional mindset, to reshuffle the publishing concept, and to be the leader of the whole publishing industries. Educational publishing enterprises need to turn to a service provider who based on the requirement of the user instead of a content provider who focus on products. Not just single paper-based textbooks, educational publishing services will turn to provide integrated service of multimedia products and diversified educational resources. Educational publishing form develops from planar graphic print form to vertical and rich media publishing forms made of graphic, audio and video. The mode of educational publishing production transforms from traditional publishing mode to digital publishing mode. Educational publishing communication channels change from the paper to the whole channel made of PC, mobile phone and so on. The trend of transformation is irreversible. Educational publishing companies need to rely on their own resources and explore the way of transformation actively with the direction of digital content services.The author takes digital content services as point of view to explore the transformation of educational publishing in China. There are five sections in this paper which are as follows:The first section is the introduction, including the background of the transformation of educational publishing and summarizing researches of domestic and foreign scholars on the development of educational publishing in the digital environment. The second part is to explore the connotation of educational publishing under the digital environment in China, as well as analyzing the necessity and feasibility of the educational publishing transformation. The third part explores the connotation and features of the digital content services and types of digital content services of publishing education. Then the author gives an analysis on the main body and forms of digital content service of education publishing. The fourth part analyzes the educational publishing problems from three aspects which are thedevelopment of the content, management and platform construction. The fifth part puts forward corresponding countermeasures, such as developing deeply content resources to lay the foundation of digital content services, strengthening digital content management to improve service efficiency and safety and building a platform of educational content services to realize the value.
