With the popularization of computer and the rapid development of information and networktechnology, many fields and industries in people’s life are facing the challenges and new developingopportunities brought by the information revolution. Especially for publishing industry, traditionalpublishing form has to meet more serious challenges, that is, before a new publishing form—digitalpublication, the traditional publication is experiencing a severe test. Digital publication not only inheritsthe advantages of traditional publication but is combined with information technology, uses informationtechnology to completely present the content of traditional publication and makes publishing and readingmore convenient. It is the inevitable choice for global publishing industry to break through traditionalpublication and accelerate digital publication.Research of digital publication requires the digital revolution in the educational publishingenterprises because in our country, the output value of educational publication in our country accounts formore than60%of the whole publishing industry. Though most educational publishing enterprises havebegun to use advanced information technology in digital publication, done some active exploration andeven made some achievements, they still have a long way to go to realize the gorgeous turn from traditionalpublication to digital publication. They have to improve self-consciousness and informatician technologycapability and know how to use advanced technology to update the traditional reading and learningplatform and change the reading concept. A series of environment and policy problems such as industrialtransition and strategic development in new era is also included.This paper uses enterprise innovation and industry development theories, from the perspective ofenterprise strategy management, based on literature review method, with the combination of qualitative andquantitative, through multidisciplinary analysis and the references to the study of outstanding enterprises inthe developed countries on the present digitalization situation,existing problems and trends. Takingdomestic educational digital publishing enterprise—China Education Publishing Network as an example,this paper shows the present situation and problems in digital publication of domestic educationalenterprises. Simultaneously, it analyses some enterprise innovation activities including strategic transformation in the new era and business model in the new strategic positioning both in theory orpractice.In practice this paper analyses and researches some challenges and bottleneck problems whichthe educational publishing enterprises have to face and solve in the digital publishing transition anddeveloping process. It also puts forward some policy guidance and implementation issues which theenterprises must face in the transition process, and according to the causes and solutions to them, it givessome suggestions and research results. This will benefit the educational publishing enterprises a lot whichare in the process of digital transition now by helping them to know how to decide their own direction ofdigital publication, how to eliminate the technical barriers when building the publishing platform, how tocoordinate the transition development from traditional publication and digital publication, rapidly improvetheir profitability and realize sustainable development.
