Crane Monitor is an important means to ensure the safe operation of the crane. It is widelyinstalled on all types of lifting equipment.The existing crane monitor has some problems,such aslocations scattered, unstable wired connection.The management is not convenient.This paperpresents a design by combining ZigBee technology and crane monitor.This paper first provides an overview of ZigBee technology,analysis the architecture of theZigBee protocol stack, introduces ZigBee network topologies and device types.It intuducestechnical characteristics and application prospects of ZigBee by comparing with several otherwireless transmission protocols. Improving routing layer protocols and the simulation results showsthat the improved algorithms effectively reduce the control overhead, improve networkperformance.This paper completed the overall design scheme, focuses on the hardware and software designof the monitor and the ZigBee communication module. Hardware design includes: monitor powersupply design, MCU application circuit, three-phase power input conditioning circuit, sensor signalinput circuit,, D/A output circuitd,the selection of ZigBee communication module,CC2530application circuit and peripheral circuit design. Software section focuses on the three-phase powerdetection algorithm,the transplantation of Zstack, serial communication, transmission of wirelessdata and PC monitoring software.The debugging results show that the system has a good network design robustness, goodcommunication distance, high real-time data transmission. We have completed the design goalswell.
