The Research And Development Of The Remote Monitoring System For Shipbuilding Crane

With the development of technologies and improvement of productivity, remote monitoring system has been increasingly applied in many fields. As to the Shipbuilding Industry, the productivity of cranes is the important factor of the production efficiency; therefore the supervisor must promptly discover and forecast the breakdown of cranes. At present, the research of the remote monitoring for crane has just started in our country; only some big dockyard can monitor crane equipment remotely; however, since the difference of PLC, the monitoring system often unable to carry out centralized management. This paper combined the actual situation with the design request of the dockyard, based on the WINCC and Kingview configuration software, utilized the FieldBus technology, designed and developed the Remote Monitoring system for shipbuilding crane; finally, realized the system in dockyard of Chekiang province.This paper firstly introduced the significance and the development of remote monitoring system, discussed the actuality of the remote monitoring system for shipbuilding crane, researched on the basic technology of remote monitoring, and the requirement of remote monitoring system. After that, the paper united the gantry crane's feature, put forward a design plan and a detailed scheme; at last, realized the shipbuilding gantry crane remote monitoring system.The system united remote monitoring and local monitoring. In industry scene, we used WINCC to monitoring, and sent the status and alarm data to special server with fixed IP through GPRS device. The experts access the data through Internet and save in their local database. They monitor the crane through configuration software.Finally, in allusion to the deficiency and shortage, the paper put forward the improvement scheme.
