As we all know, the secondary vocational education is supposed to provide talents for local economic construction, and it is the basic driving force of local economic development. With the continuous development of society, the requirements of graduates of secondary vocational school are becoming more and more demanding, but the traditional teaching models can no longer satisfy the requirement of social development. With the current teaching models in secondary vocational school, it is impossible for the graduates of secondary vocational school to meet requirement of the society and it is also unavailable to train the applied talents well-connected to work positions; therefore, the reform of teaching models must be carried out.Action-oriented Teaching Model is the vocational education concept as well as teaching models and approaches gradually established and developed in the history of German vocational education since1980s. As the leading teaching concept in Germany or even the worldwide vocational education field at present, the Action-oriented Teaching Model has been well-developed with good applications around Germany. Although it has been introduced to our country for some time, there are not many studies about the application of the Action-oriented Teaching Model in specific professional teaching. In this paper, it takes the computer major in secondary vocational schools as example and explores the application of the Action-oriented Teaching Model in professional teaching. It is of great importance to either optimization of teaching models for computer major in secondary vocational schools or improvement of teaching quality of computer major.The whole text can be divided into four parts. The first chapter is the introduction part; chapter two mainly discusses the teaching models of computer major in secondary vocational schools and makes analysis on its problems; in chapter three, the author analyses the necessity and feasibility of the Action-oriented Teaching Model; in chapter four, it makes an study of implementation of Action-oriented Teaching Model in professional teaching of computer major of secondary vocational school. Starting with the current status of teaching models of computer major in secondary vocational school, this paper analyses the problems existing in those teaching models. Since it is impossible to take the responsibility for training technical talents, the implementation of teaching models reform is inevitable; thereby the Action-oriented Teaching Model is introduced to this" paper. Through the study on its implementation, this paper concludes that the Action-oriented Teaching Model is appropriate for development of current vocational education. The Action-oriented Teaching Model could make a full integration of teaching resources and effectively motivate learning interest of students, and it is helpful for fostering self-learning abilities and teamwork spirit of students and enormously improving the teaching efficiency in class. It turns out that the teaching reform has brought good effects with the implementation of the Action-oriented Teaching Model in computer teaching of secondary vocational school. To be more specific, it has increased learning motivation of students in secondary vocational school and realized the combination between theory and practice; apart from that, it has also trained the comprehensive vocational capacity of students in secondary vocational school and helped them realize the effective transition from study to work. As a result, the teaching reform has provided the perfect connection for graduates of secondary vocational school and positions offered by employers, and it has also made it feasible to. foster the high-quality technical talents with comprehensive vocational abilities for socialism.
