Since ancient times, media is the tool of human communication. In modern times, the development of the media has become dazzling, media has not only be used to communicate, but also provide information, entertainment, and the development of the media have a dramatic impact on young people. Among these effects, the positive impacts and negative impacts exist side by side. The positive impacts can expand horizons of adolescents, provide knowledge, promote their physical and mental development, but the negative impacts will be able to involve teenagers in a negative vortex, not even establish the incorrect outlook on life and values.In the large group of teenagers, pupil is the youngest group, they are influenced and impacted by media more vulnerable, while the number of pupils is up to more than 200 million. In modern society, the network of information is already highly developed,10 years later, pupils will enter the community, they may be up to a higher developed information network, they will face a more intense bombardment of information, so they must set up a good media concept, which make them more scientific to the media world.Hunan province is located in the central region of China, the development of its television media keep ahead in the country, the pupils in Hunan are widely exposed to media among the young people, so pupils in this province are more direct confronted with the subject of how to select the media information, the research of pupils’media literacy education in Hunan province has more important practical significance.After nearly a century, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada has become as a leader in the field of media literacy education, media literacy education in Chinese Hong Kong and Chinese Taiwan also was impressive, but media literacy education in the mainland is just beginning. This is reflected not only in the initial lack of systematic scientific theory, but also reflected in the stage of which effective and workable practice is sporadic. Therefore, this research also has profound theoretical significance.Therefore, by studying and analyzing the related theories and advanced mode of media literacy education, summing up the development status of media literacy education, selecting a town primary school in Hengyang City, Hunan Province as the research site, a class in the school sixth grade students as the research object, the author carry out this research of media literacy education. By taking questionnaires, interviews, observation and other methods of investigation, I found that the media literacy education of the school is almost empty, attention to media education for teachers and media literacy education which students received are so little. But through playing curriculum, scientific teaching mode of the system, the author found that media literacy education which I take can play a good chemistry on students, but also in the action, the author found that the ways and modes for students to carry out scientific model of media literacy education, are still existing some problems to be solved on the road. These problems not only trigger a rethink of educators, but also is our only way to find the correct model.Firstly, although the contact of primary education on media literacy was little, but it actually exists in the media around the pupils, so they highly accepted the media literacy education course, the reason is not only because the usefulness of these courses, but also because the media literacy itself has practical and fun, and thanks to the enrich teaching methods the author taken and the advanced teaching facilities of the school in the teaching process.Secondly, the pupils have a preference on the type and content of media literacy education. In the process of the course, they interested in the online media courses which leave for their own lives more recent, courses for film and television works showed high enthusiasm. This requires educators are not only capable of advancing into the analysis of the characteristics of new media, but also put forward higher requirements on the teaching methods of teachers.All in all, rich teaching methods, student-centered inquiry classroom is the necessary means which make the media literacy education curriculum smooth, to face the current status of pupils media literacy education, we need to strengthen the education sector to build systematically Media Literacy Education Curriculum penetration, give this aspect of knowledge more involved in the relevant courses, leading the media literacy education in our country capable of forming an independent course.
