Research On The Digital Transformation Of News Journals

Since the 1990 s, the technology of network industry, communication industry and the information industry have been developing rapidly; and the process of “the convergence of triple network” have been accelerating as well, which includes the Internet, radio and television network, telecommunication network. For the mobile market, smart phones, tablets and mobile terminals have emerged. The way that information used to be carried and transformed is also escalating; further more, media ecological environment has changed a lot, which has brought the traditional journal industry into a complex and challenging world in the digital era. Whether it is a positive transition or passive change for the traditional journal or not, regardless of the digitization happens during the journalistic process or the journal operation, traditional journals are now inevitably on the path of the digitalization.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the necessity and feasibility of digitization of traditional news journal. Through the exploration of the digitization of traditional news journal, this paper concludes several points, like the digital-operating thinking is the fundamental of digitization, "content is king" is a guarantee to the success of digitization, interaction and sharing is the important content of digital transmission, etc. At the same time, this study summarizes the deficiencies during the digitization process, so that the news journal digitization could have a better development prospects in the future.
