Known as "heart of mine", the main fan is one of four major fixed equipments of coal mine, it holds the task of transporting fresh air to underground and emitting dust and dirty air flow. Therefore, in the choice of ventilation equipment design, the reliability and safety must be enough attend. Due to the abominable field working conditions, once the main fan has malfunction, it will has enormous effect to safe production of the mine. So researching and designing a set of variable frequency speed regulation monitoring system for fan based on PLC and fuzzy PID control not only can greatly improve the coal mine production mechanization and automation level, but also can save a lot of energy, having high economic benefit.This paper optimizes and improves the ventilation system of coal mine, researches and develops independently a set of online monitoring system for fan based on PLC and MCGS, and study how to use the fuzzy PID control and variable frequency speed regulation technology to the mine ventilation system, to achieve intelligent control and energy-saving inverter control of the mine ventilation system. First of all, research the mine fan theory knowledge. According to the fan working principle and the characteristics curve and control requirements, choose the reasonable system control scheme. Secondly, research the working principle and control mode of variable frequency speed regulation technology, analyses the energy saving principle of variable frequency speed regulation technology. Then discuss in detail PLC control system design principle and procedure, design out PLC control system hardware connection drawings and software design scheme and put forward the fuzzy PID algorithm used in mine fan variable frequency speed regulation control. Finally, this paper introduces the design of the monitoring system.This system consider fan pressure as input variable, consider frequency as control variable, can realize fan speed adjustment, meet the needs saving energy and adapting production. Actual operation and economic benefit analysis shows that the system has advantages of advanced technology, high reliability, strong practicability, saving energy and reducing consumption and many other advantages and has widely applied value.
