Xi'an Metro Communication Inquiry

The metro culture is an important part of urban culture. Metro culture communication is subject which is in a high level, it combines the system civilization, material civilization and spiritual civilization as a whole.This thesis summarizes a discipline of subway developing and cultural transmission through studying in some other countries. Considering the current situation of Xi’an urban culture and the local characteristics, it designs the new method which fits the construction and dissemination of the metro culture in Xi’an.This paper proposes that the spreading of metro culture should coordinate with urban cultural environment, to create an unique characteristic of Xi’an metro culture through the comprehensive planning of city culture and a series of high-quality projects; to demonstrate the metro culture with industry characteristics in the metro culture environment elements such as metro facilities, service methods, environment atmosphere and line features.In recent years, with the tide of reform and development, major cities across the country are in large scale to speed up the construction steps, the number of the cities who have had and are building subway, the underground traffic network, is increasing with the passing day, and the scale is becoming larger.Metro represents not just vehicles in cities, by subway culture, we can see that the urban culture shows through another form, transmission of the metro culture has become an important carrier of urban culture propagation.Thus, marching on construction of metro culture, we must attach importance to all aspects of the metro culture communication, not only the technology level of the subway planning, building and operating, but more attention should be payed to cultural communication effect and the choice of ways, to form the unique features of Xi’an metro, and in harmony with the culture of Xi’an city.On the one hand, therefore, metro undertakes the important tasks of being the communication media, protecting the environment and helping urban economy improve; on the other hand, it should also be endowed with its unique cultural features, plays the essential role of spreading the urban culture.
