For deeping the reformation in our country,China made a big change in Telecommunication field under the Telecommunication system policy of the State Department. Several large Telecom operators have been established, which are China Telecom, China Netcom, China Unicom, China Mobile, and China Railcom. And they dive into different service field competition. Gansu Netcom, as a new comer into the Gansu Telecom market, will pricks up these competitions determinately. Especially, the Datacom field is the hottest battlefield. How does Gansu Netcom looking forward the new technology based on existing network structure? How to provide the abundant IP services, provide the optimum network structure using the advanced technology, provide high speed and flexible access? It is the real big issue to discuss. It is based on this background, this paper makes the research into the implementations of the IP Metro-networking and Corresponding Services in Gansu Netcom.In the paper, the Gansu existing telecommunication environment and IP tech. develop trend are discussed first. Then, the Gansu Netcom IP Metro-network construct object is submitted based on engineering experience, existing IP Metro-network, and other IP network operators analyses.In this paper, the IP Metro-network router protocols, IP DHCP, 3A authentication, MPLS, and VPN tech. are studied deeply in order to find the optimize solution to adapt to Gansu Netcom. Especially the QoS and troop wave, are analyzed and summarized. At the same time, the solution of the implementations of the IP Metro-networking for abundant services and applications, and a case study of MPLS VPN service are given.To be a operation able carriers class network, the network security is the key point. So, at last,some necessary security actions of IP Metro-network and Network Management System are implemented.
