Based on the main problem existing in the Chinese coal mining region, this article combines WSN with RFID technology and applies them to the coal mine safety. The former is used for environment monitoring, such as gas concentration, air humidity, and pressure so on. The latter is used to position and identify target objects. Two sorts of technology can efficiently solve the problem about RFID data transmission in the coal mine, find the hidden dangers in time in the pit, and quickly look for the missing miner if Mining accidents take place.Miners positioning and tracking is the core of the system of coal mine safety monitoring, but most of the underground location algorithm is nothing to do with hardware. The disadvantage of this kind of algorithm is bring about the problem of empty time slot caused by the blind spots. Based on the characteristics of RFID and WSN fusion, this paper extends the content of positioning vector to improves the original reader positioning algorithm. The time component T of original vector is decomposed into the vector Ts and the vector Te. Then the algorithm processes the new vectors to get the location of the miners. Last the algorithm further determines the location of the miners during of the blank time based on the maximum speed of the miners. The improved algorithm not only solves the problem of blank time but also does not increase cost of the hardware. In data processing, this paper builds the model to process the RFID data and WSN data based on Complex Event Processing According to the characteristics that RFID and WSN will produce large amounts of data during work. The model regards the RFID data and WSN data as atom events, then combines the atom events into complex events which is useful for the upper application by the EPL language of the Epser engine. The paper gives the examples of miners movement and environment exception event to illustrate the process of then matching the complex events, and verifies the advantage of this model by simulation. Finally the article design idea and routine of overall system, and detailed description the function and the way of design and implementation of various modules.
