With the higher and higher demands to the safety in coal mines and the devel-opment of the enterprises themselves, the security problems in coal mines already become the most important ones for the country and enterprises. Because of the com-plex natural environments and many hidden dangers existing in coal mines, the acci-dents that make the heavy economic losses and personnel casualty occurs frequently in China coal mines in recent years. It shows that the existing safety monitoring sys-tems in coal mines has some insufficiencies. ZigBee is a new short-distance wireless communication technology which has the uniform technical standard and suitably used in the low-cost, low-power-dissipated wireless sensor network. Applying this technology to the coal mines'safety monitoring will enhance safety production monitoring and management level effectively.There many parameters need to survey in coal mine,and some of them already have classics survey measurement method, but in the condition of coal mine envi-ronments, there are seldom researches in human body physiology signal's monitor So the article intends to use wireless sensor network technique in certain sections of coal mine, This technology's application may carry on environment parameter survey in the routine work, on the other hand after coal mine accident occurs, from the drill hole sends in new ZigBee wireless route node, this node and miners wear wireless sensor node compose wireless network, send worker's physiological data to control center, for prompt, fast, accurate rescue provided optimum solution. The author studies the acquisition of temperature signals of human bodies, wireless sensor node design, and based on ZigBee protocol wireless network and so on.There are many physiological signals in the human bodies. The author chooses the low-cost DS18B20 as the temperature sensor to measure human body's tempera- ture by three spots on the head. The gas sensor, MJC4/3.0L, and its hardware con-nection mode are also depicted in the paper. In the hardware, the system demand is satisfied by the microprocessor MSP430FG4618 and the radio frequency chip CC2420. In the software the programming application procedure is done with Zig-Bee protocol as a basis, and the upper computer interface is programmed by using VC++.
