Since the laser was invented in the1960s, it is widely used because of its specialproperties in directivity, brightness and monochromaticity, while the modern opticaltechnology has been got a huge change. Along with the development of laser and thewidely application of laser technology, the laser has become an extremely importanttool in industrial production, scientific exploration, and modern military war. Avariety of traditional industries and emerging industries is rapid development with theemergence of new technologies.Laser dual galvanometer scanning technology is one of the best laser scanningmethod and it has been widely used in laser marking, laser rapid prototyping, objectcontour extraction, laser arena, and many other fields. It is also play an important roleat the airport docking guidance system, vehicle collision avoidance system, yardmooring systems for its excellent vector scanning features.The design has researched and reviewed the development and application ofscanning technology at home and abroad before written. The design researches on thebasis of dual galvanometer laser vector scanning, galvanometer scanning workingprinciple, the error of dual galvanometer and its analysis, data communicationsmanagement, data storage management and system control. Dual galvanometerscanning system has a high research value because it integrates laser technology,optical technology, computing technology and other modern technology. The structureof dual galvanometer laser vector scanner is simple so it can meet the requirements ofminiaturization, low-cost. And the test result shows that the design can meet the basicrequirements we hoped.The main content of this paper is:The first part, it detailed introduces the currently the popular scanning technologyand their working principle and characteristics, include the multi-faceted turn mirror,electro-optical deflector and the sound of light deflection. It analyzes the work principle of dual Galvanometer scanning, the errors thar dual Galvanometer scanningexisted and analysis of the solutions in details. it compares the raster scanning and thevector scanning and analyzes their work principle, technical features and applications.The design also introduces how can we get the data of the vector scanning.The second part, the design introduce the scanner hardware and software design indetails and analyze the specific functions of each module and writes the appropriatedrivers.The third part, it designs a communication protocol format on the foundation tomeet the basic requirements of data communications which is concise, reliability,scalability, versatility. The communication protocol formulate the serialcommunication settings, communication data frame format. It can not only meet thecommunication requirements of the design but also can be used as the communicationprotocol between the multi-node, which is one of the innovations of this paper.Through the actual testing of the system, it shows that the scanner to meet theoriginal design requirements. the scan results are satisfactory and it can scan thevector pattern or vector animation. The data communication protocols fully meet thedesign requirements and can be used in other occasions.
