Galvanometric laser scan technology, which is the core component for its advantage of fast scan speed and high precise, is widely used in laser marking, rapid prototyping, and laser scanning imaging, etc. Laser scanning imaging is an important branch of laser imaging technology, and is increasingly applied for its advantage of fast imaging speed, precise and less image distortion. It is related to CAD/CAM, CNC, laser, new materials and accurate servo system techniques. This paper studied the general design of 2D galvanometric scanning system in the laser scanning imaging system, the usage of scanning board, the analysis of image distortion, and software design & implement, etc.This paper investigated the related theory of laser, described several methods of laser ranging, stated the theory of 2D galvanometric laser scanning system, as the background theories of laser scanning imaging system. The focus of this paper is put on the 2D galvanometric scanning system, which is the very important component of laser scanning imaging system. Then this paper studied the reason of image distortion in the galvanometric laser scanning process, and image correction using software. Finally, the 2D galvanometric scanning system worked very well in the laser scanning imaging system, and got the desired results.
