In recent years, with the rapid development of missile, radar, spacecraft, theamount of data and transmission bandwidth caused by the equipment are largelyimproved. Therefore a data transmission system with fast receiving and transmitting isnecessary to meet the requirements of processing data, information and instructions incommunication and obtain the monitoring and control quickly and exactly.The high-speed data transmission system designed in this paper is to transfer datathrough the high speed data bus to reach the purpose of high-speed data transmissionbetween the data source/destination and computer. After doing a research and analysison the data transmission system and the development of the data bus, this paper selectsthe third-generation I/O bus, PCI Express (PCIe) bus Gen2.0as the data transfer busand achieves the interface based on IP-CORE in Xilinx FPGAs which completes thedata transfer by the bus DMA to achieve the high-speed data transmission. The keypoint to the high-speed data transmission system is the design of the FPGA control logicin circuit board of data transmission, including the data transmission controller andPCIe Gen2.0bus interface. In addition, as important parts of the system, this paper alsostudies and builds the software, driver and data storage device and analyze thefunctionality and performance. Finally, the total high-speed data transmission systemused for monitoring and communication is designed and implemented.The system has been tested by three different ways to validate all the functions andperformances. The results indicate that the transmission rates of receiving andtransmitting data are6.5Gbps and6.3Gbps with adaptive the receiving rate andadjustable the sending rate. A large number of tests and analyses show that the processof transmission is fast, stable and accurate which can meet the current requirements ofthe data transmission system in the monitoring and communicatio n system of themissile, radar and space technology. Especially in the current aerospace monitoring andcommunication system of remote sensing and data transmission,there is extremelybroad application prospect and practical value.
