The evolution of handset that has made a swift turnaround from communicationtool to mobile multi-media brings lots of conveniences and surprises to people’s life. With the development of3G network and penetration of smart phone, mobile videobecame a major value added service of all MNOs, and has a greater influence onaudiences. However, the developing pace of content production is much slower thanfunction development of mobile video. As far as it is concerned, the content of mobile videos comes mainly from twoparts: one part is produced by traditional media, and the other is supplied chiefly byprofessional mobile video content providers and MNOs. The first part derives mostlyfrom traditional television programmes and Internet video websites, which is actually acontent transplantation from previous media to new mobile, while the latter part isespecially designed for mobile video users. Both parts have their obvious shortcomings. The content transplanted from other media is not perfectly fit for cellphone in the aspectof video duration and visual display; while the professional providers even though comein huge numbers, cannot meet the market demand as a large scale industrial production, namely a shortage of ability of independent production. In addition, videos posted oncellphones are vaguely targeted, and there still exists a lack of regulation andsupervision for independent video production. This essay tries to find out a model formobile video content productions which adapts the situation of our country, that is, tomake audience become the main force for mobile video content production, to supplythem with well-targeted mobile video programmes by professional producers, to sharethe content of all videos in terms of tri-networks integration. Only by collaborating inthese three ways, a ground base for further development of content production formobile video can be established.
