Research On Chinese Colleges Mobile Library Services

With the increasing amount of smart phones and other mobile terminals, mobile reading, mobile services, mobile library has gradually become one of the emphases on the service project of college library in China. This paper is divided into six chapters for studying the current situation of Chinese colleges and universities mobile library services.First section is Preparation stage. It starts with the basis issues of the topic about the mobile library services, then summary the mobile library services both in China and abroad, at last introduce the methods used along the article. Along with the summary part, summary of the Chinese parts has carried out on four aspects, as reason for the title, theoretical research, practice research and discussion during the conference. Abroad summary is contained of mobile library practice development approximately, theoretical research, practice research and discussion during the international conference.Second section is the part of the basic research in college mobile library. The author studies the two mobile libraries firstly and draws out differences between them, and then introduces the concepts of mobile library, cell phone library, pocket library, wireless library and distinguish them form each other, at last the author find the differences and connections along Mobile Library Services, Digital Library Services, with Traditional library services.Third section is the part of research on the analysis of the internal and external environment around of Chinese colleges and universities mobile library services. The author selects the approach of SWOT to resolves the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats around the Chinese college library service.Fourth section is the part of the summary of the Chinese college mobile library system. The author selects the sample of the network research is top50universities of the2012Chinese University of Wu Shu Lian version and launches the network research. This section starts around the current situation on mobile library services of the selected36universities, and selects Run-time items, Support for schema items and Partnership items to elaborate. And it introduces the mobile library services on Superlib of Chaoxing, mobile library service system of SURSEN, HUIWEN, ZHUOYUE, and draws out scenarios and characteristics of the four mobile library service systems.Fifth section is the part of Problem-solving stage. Words of this section are based on the data of the previous section. The author proposes solutions to expand the advantages, weaken the disadvantages, seize the opportunities and defuse the threats respectively. The author investigates the principles on launching the mobile library services and draws out the measures correspondingly. Such as learning from the construction experience of mobile library both Chinese and abroad, reinforcement on network resource integration of the mobile library, Attention on model innovation of the mobile library service, setting up the institutions on mobile library services, amplification publicity and training on the mobile library service, and so on.Last section is the general section. During the part, the author asserts the future of Chinese college mobile library service, and commends the utilities of Chinese college mobile library and points out the lack of energy, full investigation and in-depth analysis on the subject.
