Abstract/Summary:
With the expansion of university enrollment and reformation of borrow system ofmodern libraries; the seats in library are in short supply. How to improve theutilization of resources in library by readers, especially to solve the unfair use of theseats? Due to the burgeoning intelligent terminal technology, Android systembecomes a more popular operation system. The intelligent system which combinesAndroid system and library service is taking shape. Fundamental service aside, thesystem designed by this thesis also solved the distribution of library resourcesefficiently.The contributions of this thesis are as follows:1. The thesis summed up the background, development, application and keytechnology of intelligent mobile library. The demand of intelligent mobile library wassummarized, and its technical desire was discussed specifically.2. The thesis described the design of this system on the base of Androidintelligent mobile library assistant service, including the design goals, designframework and running mode, etc. The thesis provided the design scheme aimed atfunction models, and described briefly the main steps and methods/algorithms indesign.3. The thesis implemented the design of mobile library assistant service system,and described the process of each submodule implementation. To meet the request ofcommunication between client-side and servicer, the system utilized C/S mode as theframework. This assistance service system combined the intelligent monitoringtechnique and figure identification method on contour feature to realize the vacancyinquiry, and applied digital map diplay combining Dijkstra in graph theory to readingroom navigation. Moreover, in order to provide users with more convenience, thesystem adapted the popular “shake shake” function to help users finding other users inthe library by typing in the qualification and shaking the cellphone.4. The thesis designed a serial of testing links, and the result showed the systemwas usable and practical. Through the system, readers could not only inquire,borrow,make an appointment and know the user borrowing conditions, but also use this system to gain much more convenience and assistance easily. The system improvedthe allocation efficiency of library resources greatly.
