Research And Implement Of Mobile Phone Library Services System Universal Access Platform Based On Struts Framework

Popularity of internet and development of information technology result in digital library in the information age. Along with the rapid progress of wireless Internet technology, a fully new kind of digital library services model, whose terminal is mobile phone, Mobilephone Library comes into our vision stealthily.This paper first surveyed the mobile phone users and sum up the mobile library service functions, proposed general and scalable architecture of mobile library system. Based on the architecture, author design a universal access interface, by which can many other Digital Library systems exchange data with this system. Finally, it implements the integration of this system and LIBSYS, ALEPH system based on the interface. Besides, it realized some other functions such as phone number bundled, customized services, second confirmation SMS and so forth.This system is mainly based on multi-layer architecture of J2EE platform, uses popular Struts framework of the system with a three-layer structure of MVC. To improve the performance of database access, it chooses Proxool database connection pool technology. All of these make the System platform-independent, scalability, and so on. In addition, the system also makes comprehensive use of the SMS technology and WAP technology, the library system to use mobile phones with SMS functions and external visit WAP site. During the developing process, it takes the characteristics of digital library into account, follows the library operation model, and optimizes the pattern of the traditional library services to some extent. All the work not only improves the quality of existing library services, but also meets the actual demand for the library services.The first chapter of this paper summarizes the concept of mobile library, research status, purpose of the study and significance, main content. The second chapter studies mobile phone service functions through the survey analysis, sums up the phone users' requirements for the library services. The third chapter analyses a related study on the technologies and researches including J2EE, Struts framework, SMS, WAP and so on. The fourth chapter is about the system analysis and design, including system requirements analysis, system design, system analysis and database design. The fifth chapter describes the design and implementation of the mobile library system, including system configuration parameters, the user login, the user identity confirmation secondary function of SMS, renew library functions of WAP, and so on. Last chapter is summary and prospects, which describes the outcomes of this paper, the existing problems of the system and further research work.
