The Design And Implementation Of Mobile Library System

With the development of mobile communication technology, and the popularity of smartphones, the mobile terminal has been the most popular internet terminal in China. At the sametime, various mobile applications including the mobile library have became the research focus.This paper is to investigate the mobile technology in library services, and establish a WAP siteof mobile phone library for mobile phone and other wireless terminals. This system may helpus to provide high quality information services for education and research, and satisfy theknowledge and information needs of teachers and students, and so as to improve the libraryservice level and service efficiency.Through analyze the relevant information, we design and develop a mobile library WAPsite platform which based on B/S structure. This thesis discusses the system analysis, systemdesign, system implementation, system test, and such as this. In the aspect of system analysis,we determine that the functional modules of the WAP site platform mainly include bookretrieval, appointment, renewals, electronic resources retrieval, announcement, leave message.The WAP site platform is built on Huiwen System of Guangdong Technical College of WaterResources and Electric Engineering Library and original database. In the aspect of systemdesign, we use the MVC design ideas and object-oriented analysis method based on UML,and we describe the design of each module in detail. In the aspect of system implementation,we use Microsoft Visual Studio platform,.NET technology, oracle database technology todevelop the core functionality, and use Wireshark software to get the data packet from WEBpage, and so as to make the WAP platform successfully integrate with the WEB server oflibrary system. In the aspect of system test, we use computer and mobile phone in hardware,and different browsers in software to do the system test. The result of tests demonstrate thatthe system operates normally, and the access speed will be affected by the network status.The mobile library system we design and implement in this thesis, interfaces with theexisting library system seamless, and provides a convenient library information sharing andlending services for the teachers and students.
